Nope. Dinosaurs existed. There's also no such thing as the devil. The corrupt, power-hungry bastards who wrote the bible put that there to scare you into obeying.

Creationists explain fossils as caused by the Biblical flood. The larger species were killed off by the flood, which drastically changed the landscape and covered large areas of land with sedament. Presumably, Noah took dinosaurs on the ark with him, but they didn't survive the climactic changes caused by the flood and eventually died out completely. Some ancient cultures have stories of "dragons." (The chinese dragons, the european St George's dragon, etc.) Perhaps those were dinosaurs.
As for some of the odd animals that have been found, such as odd pre-horse like creatures, etc... well, creationists believe that there is a lot of room for genetic drift within the DNA of animals. Look for example at all the breeds of Dogs. They look drastically different, and in the case of some wolves, are even a little gentically different, but they're all related. Same goes for African and Indian Elephants; Lions, panthers and tigers; Horses and donkeys.
As for the dating methods used by scientists, they've been known to be inaccurate (ex: Newly formed volcanic rock being dated to millions of years, or a bicycle found in the Mississippi River dated to thousands of years). The problem with the dating methods is they presuppose the half-life of the isotops they use to measure age are constant over a long period of time. If you go into something assuming you're going to find a result, you're bound to find it. That, and there is a tendancy to throw out results that don't quite fit their presuppositions.
That at least is what I understand the debate to be, and I think there are some valid questions to be answered and explored there. Unfortunately, the serious scientific community won't even bother because their presuppositions have already been set in stone.

I'm a scientist, and a spiritual person. I've heard this theory before...mostly from the Creation Evidence Museum in Glen Rose, Texas. I think it's crap. First off...who says Gods' "7 days" are the same as our "7 days"...maybe God's "days" last 3 million years. The constant of time is a scientific principle...we can't hold God to it. WE created time...not the bible...but WE also create the BIBLE. It's subject to human error...and human censoring and interpretation! Science (ie the fossil record) seeks to be impartial and explain how and when things happened truthfully, not to fit an agenda (unless the scientist is crooked)...not who caused them or why. THAT is what religion, faith and all those things are for. I'll tell you what I got kicked out of the Creation Evidence Museum for saying...Dinosaurs lived and STILL DO live...go to the zoo and look at a croc or an alligator. If you need the truth to literally bite you in the ****...try jumping in!

When God created the earth was empty, we do not know for how many thousands or millions of years it was empty, the way that scientists come to the conclusion of how old a fossil is, is through Carbon 14-dating, but they don't test the fossils it self, they test the ground which they were found, because carbon 14-dating can not be done in bones, so, like I said earlier, the earth was empty when God created it, and it might have be like that for millions of years, so that's how they come up with that amount of years even tho, we know the world was created about 6-8 thousand years ago. Dinosaurs died when God flooded the earth, 4-6 thousand years ago. So, when they come up with millions and billions of years I believe is because of the ground surrounding the dinosaurs, not the dinosaurs themselves. Even tho, that's not what they believe.

These animals roamed the earth prior to the flood of Noah's day and were destroyed by the flood. The fact that there are fossils validate the reality of the Flood...animals don't normally fossilize when they die unless there is water and mud to form these remains. Now for the age part... If you read the first chapter of Genesis carefully, you notice the earth was surrounded by a "canopy" of water vapor (the fuel for the Flood). This caused a skew in Carbon 14 dating. C-14 is formed by the action of cosmic radiation on Nitrogen atoms --this water canopy prevented the cosmic radiation from entering the atmosphere and helping form C-14. Animals from before the flood are very low in C-14 and dated much older than they should be.

Dinosaurs are mentioned in the Bible. Look in Job 40:17. Some will argue its describing a hippopotamus but does a hippo have a tail like a cedar? God created the dinosaurs and men and dinosaur lived together thousands of years ago. God can make things look really old, just as Jesus made water into wine that tasted as though it had been aged for years. Even if the earth was 3.5 billion years old, it doesn't change anything. We know human civilization started around 6000 years ago regardless.

Nope, dinosaurs are a fact - I'm afraid you're going to have to get used to them.
Of course, intelligent people know the Bible and dinosaurs can exist together - I think that's the angle you ought to go for. The Old Testament isn't literally true and the story of the creation is just a beautiful poem.

You know... I want to be all "What the F*CK is wrong with your brain?". But right now, it just makes me so sad that such a large group of people are so desperate to believe that the Bible is perfect, that they'll believe that the world is only 10k years old and that dinosaurs (and by extension, science) should have to conform to their delusional little belief system.
I'm sorry, but this is just pathetic. Are you also one of those people who refuse to believe in gravity because it wasn't mentioned in the Bible? Or believe that Earth is the centre of the Universe because it's the only planet God stuck humans on? *sigh*

There's plenty more evidence that the earth is really old, not just dinosaur bones. The devil would have to have altered the laws of physics such that he would be more powerful than God. Are you willing to accept a devil that is more powerful than God?

I thought the earth was closer to 4.6 billion billion years old? Hmm maybe we don't really know for sure.
