I want to know why Jihad is being spread without spreading education in Kashmir. Why do Islams hate the non-believers and want to kill them? We , the Hindus are tolerant to the non-Hindus, can't they be a little tolerant? So many people dies everyday due to terrorism in India. Can't they stop Jihad and spread love?
Was Muhammad this cruel? Answer me why do people should follow a murderous religion which tells to cut off the non-believer's head?

I have known some jews and they are very 'tight' and cheap with their money. Is this fact or just an old wives tale that all jews are like this? If true, why is this? Culture? Upbringing?

My partner has a upcoming religious family function. He is catholic and I use to attend a protestant church. He believes in saints and the Pope, I don't. Eventhough i stopped attendign church, I still have my beliefs. I only believe in praying to God, the holy spirit and the Son Jesus. This weekend they are having a mass & a party celebration for their saint they are so devoted to. I feel wrong for going to somehting I totally do'nt believe. BUt he's hte father of my child and that's how i met him. Would you go? Is like a big deal, his parents are hosting the party this year, and the Saint is currently holding him at their house, they put fresh flowers and candles. I totally do'nt believe in that..

has politely said "Thank you for sharing but I have my own beliefs and am not interested in changing."? Shouldn't we accept that persons choice and not try and push them? You can preach or teach but when asked give another space.

Or their children having sex with one another. And they only had two sons. Kind of tricky, no?

I asked this a few minutes ago, but please consider this:

So, let me get this straight, of the answers so far, most Christians are advocating/excusing/justifying incest? Come on, you can do better than that! Are you really saying that you have faith in a doctrine that advocated incest? Would you have sex with your brother or sister? And these phony genetic arguments you are coming up with are just wrong - there would have been no genetic variation, so all the sons/grandsons/etc would have all turned out pretty much the same as one another. There would have been no variation for eye/hair/skin color as a small example. If you admit then that there was genetic variation, you are admiting the possibility of evolution, which I thought you were all against. Mind you, I thought you were against incest up till now...

But I don't care you can find a way to report me but no violation comes in my mail-box! Are we clear on that?

If omeone is standing behind you, you can sense it even if they don't move, make a sound, or breath. We all know we cannot sense matter without the use of the five senses. But yet some how, if a life is behind you or out of your sight you know they are there. Sometimes we get the feeling we are being watched with out seeing or hearing any thing. If you can tell someone is behind you without using any of the five senses, does that mean we can feel there soul?

if god created Adam and eve, then why do we have so many different types of people on earth. And why does insect cause birth defects, and low intelliance. if we all came from two people as the bible said, then we are all related anyway, so why is this. Unless the bible is wrong and there is no god

We don't need any skeptics responses here, just a question for Christians, what is it going to be like. Literally gold? Constant worship? The Garden of Eden? Like here, only without sin? What will it be like?

Wisdom 14

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Again, one preparing himself to sail, and about to pass through the raging waves, calleth upon a piece of wood more rotten than the vessel that carrieth him.

2. For verily desire of gain devised that, and the workman built it by his skill.

3. But thy providence, O Father, governeth it: for thou hast made a way in the sea, and a safe path in the waves;

4. Shewing that thou canst save from all danger: yea, though a man went to sea without art.

5. Nevertheless thou wouldest not that the works of thy wisdom should be idle, and therefore do men commit their lives to a small piece of wood, and passing the rough sea in a weak vessel are saved.

6. For in the old time also, when the proud giants perished, the hope of the world governed by thy hand escaped in a weak vessel, and left to all ages a seed of generation.

7. For blessed is the wood whereby righteousness cometh.

8. But that which is made with hands is cursed, as well it, as he that made it: he, because he made it; and it, because, being corruptible, it was called god.

9. For the ungodly and his ungodliness are both alike hateful unto God.

10. For that which is made shall be punished together with him that made it.

11. Therefore even upon the idols of the Gentiles shall there be a visitation: because in the creature of God they are become an abomination, and stumblingblocks to the souls of men, and a snare to the feet of the unwise.

12. For the devising of idols was the beginning of spiritual fornication, and the invention of them the corruption of life.

13. For neither were they from the beginning, neither shall they be for ever.

14. For by the vain glory of men they entered into the world, and therefore shall they come shortly to an end.

15. For a father afflicted with untimely mourning, when he hath made an image of his child soon taken away, now honoured him as a god, which was then a dead man, and delivered to those that were under him ceremonies and sacrifices.

16. Thus in process of time an ungodly custom grown strong was kept as a law, and graven images were worshipped by the commandments of kings.

17. Whom men could not honour in presence, because they dwelt far off, they took the counterfeit of his visage from far, and made an express image of a king whom they honoured, to the end that by this their forwardness they might flatter him that was absent, as if he were present.

18. Also the singular diligence of the artificer did help to set forward the ignorant to more superstition.

19. For he, peradventure willing to please one in authority, forced all his skill to make the resemblance of the best fashion.

20. And so the multitude, allured by the grace of the work, took him now for a god, which a little before was but honoured.

21. And this was an occasion to deceive the world: for men, serving either calamity or tyranny, did ascribe unto stones and stocks the incommunicable name.

22. Moreover this was not enough for them, that they erred in the knowledge of God; but whereas they lived in the great war of ignorance, those so great plagues called they peace.

23. For whilst they slew their children in sacrifices, or used secret ceremonies, or made revellings of strange rites;

24. They kept neither lives nor marriages any longer undefiled: but either one slew another traiterously, or grieved him by adultery.

25. So that there reigned in all men without exception blood, manslaughter, theft, and dissimulation, corruption, unfaithfulness, tumults, perjury,

26. Disquieting of good men, forgetfulness of good turns, defiling of souls, changing of kind, disorder in marriages, adultery, and shameless uncleanness.

27. For the worshipping of idols not to be named is the beginning, the cause, and the end, of all evil.

28. For either they are mad when they be merry, or prophesy lies, or live unjustly, or else lightly forswear themselves.

29. For insomuch as their trust is in idols, which have no life; though they swear falsely, yet they look not to be hurt.

30. Howbeit for both causes shall they be justly punished: both because they thought not well of God, giving heed unto idols, and also unjustly swore in deceit, despising holiness.

31. For it is not the power of them by whom they swear: but it is the just vengeance of sinners, that punisheth always the offence of the ungodly.

I realize this may seem a rather odd question but I am serious and I am sorry if I hurt anyone by bringing up sad memories , When my father passed I could have sworn I seen his hand give a little wave of the fingers. I mentioned this to no one until a niece of mine asked if anyone had noticed such a thing and in all 4 of us thought we saw it but hadn't spoke to one another about it previously. He had been previously embalmed and the hand appeared to be in the original position afterward.

They always use genesis to control women and .... who do they think they are. In the bible other places if they read on that's not the only part talking about women. That's just how people do it, they mostly twist the words and make it for themselves and make people who actually are christians look bad or something. In other places in the bible it says that women(eve the first) was made to be equal to Adam. Woman is said not to have been taken out of man's head to be lorded-over by him, nor from his feet to be trampled upon, but from his side to be equal with him, from under his arm to be protected by him and from near his heart to be loved by him. Also the golden rule to treat others as you would like to be treated. Everyone was created equal and no one is above anyone else.

I am just wondering because I do. I am more than willing to listen and learn what another believes and why but when someone starts preaching to me telling me that I am wrong, going to hell, and judging me I tend to walk away or at the least stop listening. What do you think and how do you feel and react in these situations? (And just before someone asks I am a Catholic.)
