I don't understand why people don't r.s.v.p! It's not hard to do...you only have put the already stamped envelope back in the mailbox or just give a 2 minute call. Why do so many people not r.s.v.p?

i saw a cute Asian girl in my building.
very pretty but she had on a loose shirt on which look like for extra
space for her belly.
So i ask her is this your first baby
she replied am not pregnant

I'm an outgoing individual, easy to get along with but I'm also a private person and get really annoyed when people ask personal questions. How can I respond tactfully without coming across as being a snob?

I'm at a loss for responses. I usually just say, "those are personal questions and I typically don't reveal personal information about myself. I'm a private person and if I decide I want you to know that information, I will tell you".

I realize in most cases, people are just curious but c'mon...there's a limit.

The type of questions I get asked are these: "How old are you?", "where do you live?", "are you married?", "do you have any children?", "why aren't you married?", "why don't you have any children?", "do you live alone?", etc..

The world is falling appart ( as we know it)..global warming, ( floods, hurricans, tidel waves, droughts ...ect ) We're ripping out the the few remaining rain forests to make MORE bio fuels, 'cos we almost used up all the fossil fuels.......The world seems to be commiting suicide.... yet we're still building, destroying, poluting with more and more efficiency.... And to top it all,the the "leader" of the most powerful nation on earth is a compete imbecile. Trying to start yet ANOTHER war..just so his disasterous political "experiment" can go out with a BANG.....
So he and all his buddies can make so more $ selling arms and the like, once they finally get kicked out of congress.
Russia has returned to the Tsars ( with out the culture) China is eating everbody...While the europeans sit around and discuss........
Man its depressing.
Can anybody out there give me a reason not give up...
Up untill now I could always find some sort of excuse, but now it's really getting hard.

I like my privacy, as I assume most of you do. But I can't put into words just why I want it so bad. And that strikes me as very odd. If I can't even put it into words, how can I say that my personal privacy is so important that it should make it harder for the police to catch a criminal? What benefit does individual privacy have to society as a whole, so that it should be a protected right?

Can you help me out? Why is privacy so desireable? Does it do the group as a whole any good? Or is it just a primitive instinct that no longer serves a function? Or even less than that, some sort of modern cultural fetish?

i have noticed a lot of women in their 20's and 30's who wear high heels. without shoes on i am 5'5 and a half. for some reason, i am looking up at a lot of women. without heels on, how tall are you ladies?????? admit it, you're not that tall!!!!!!

Want to usurp mens"domination" over them, why do they play games? Such as getting offended when a man makes a comment about thier dress (or lack of it), yet constantly dress in a way to show of their assets as it were. To make matters worse, they flit thier hair, and other things to flirt. They want to be apreciated for their talents, but play dumb, or use their body to get what they want. It seems they would be better off stopping the crap. And yes I am aware how they have to work harder ect to get ahead, but this would help end their problems in the workplace. What do you think?

Could be a town/someone's house/other country/pub anything at all. I once went camping and stopped at this tiny, quaint village in the Lake District. Went into a pub and everyone - staff, customers - seemed to be American except us two. Very disconcerting. (Don't criticise for posting in wrong list - none seemed right.)

My husband and I own a cell phone store, we store all of our phones in jewelry display cases with locks in the back. There have been several times where a phone would be moved out of place and we would have to fix it. We always assumed it was one or the other person that would move it so would just fix it. We recently remodeled our store and I fixed up the display cases, and made sure everything was lined up nice and neat. We left for the night and returned in the morning and the phone and the plastic display holder was completly turned around. Just that one specific phone! Thats when we realized that neither one of us has touched or moved it. I checked the phone and it was off. I turned it back into place and kept a close eye on it all day, nothing else happened. So again this morning it is flipped the opposite way, and again the phone is off. I'm not really a believer of ghost, but what is going on here? Nobody else has access to our store and the jewelry cases are locked?

Do you watch your local news in the evening? At the end the weatherman comes out with whatever hideous tie he slapped on this morning. Then he tells you what the weather was like today. At the end of the day. Why do they do this? I was there, man. And then he tells us what the weather was like on this day last year. Who the ferk cares?!? Yarg!

Its really a Cleaning Business Question but anyone could answer it...
What would you do if a client...
*Asked you to walk up a long steep slippery driveway in the snow with heavy equipment
*Forgets to pay at the end of the cleaning
*They are both home and walk over stuff you just cleaned only to ask you why the floor is dirty later
*They let their dog loose in the house when the rule was to crate it while I'm there
*They want me to do above and beyond...like pick up their dirty clothes, even a bloody rag was on the counter and a TURD in the toilet
*Oh, did I mention cleaning up after a mess they left when the wife was going to have a natural childbirth at home - (sweaty blankets....)

What exactly would you write to them in an email(too mad to call) because I have to do that today - I don't care about the money, I have many clients lined up. I just want to sound tactful without sounding like a prick. I do have a referral for a different company(like they even deserve it!)

They have no idea how much that betrays them. I think that those who are most like that show their vulnerability without being aware of it. I think someone who isn't so sensitive wouldn't be 'defensive' about it...rather, they'd just be cool, calm, and collected, and not to mention just and willing to be understanding and Not assaulting of the other person........

I just really hate when someone is really easily offended. lol. I guess that goes along with what they say about u hate in others what u hate most in yourself, because, truthfully, I hate it when someone has offended me..........I myself don't know whether to be hostile about the situation, like I feel that they deserve, so that they can feel bad like they made me feel bad..but usually I end up withdraeing from reacting that way and TRY to be cool, calm, and collected about it, lol..and Not offended.
