I'd have to call my mom, I'm not sure I'd want her to attend, quite frankly. If they took me out, she'd have to go too, cause she would kill everybody in the room, after they killed me (regardless of what I did) Mama don't play that mess Lol! But yeah, I'd call my sweetness. What about you? Imagine that nobody was allowed to be there in the room. What would you say on the phone? Depressing question, but some people have to make these decisions in real life, and some people never get the chance to.

it just seems like americans work way too much, there are too many bills, and too many commitments that you have to fulfill each day just to get by, how does oneself find relief from all the thought consuming nature of the world as it is today

It was the big charity event day on Friday in the UK,Children In Need, where loads of people dress up ect, trying to get money for disadvantaged children. It culminates in a live show on the BBC in the evening.
A friend of ours, whose nickname is Moo,decided to dress up as a cow.During a break from collecting, she took some friends to McDonalds for a lunch break. As she got out of the car and BEFORE she got to the store, she was quickly surrounded by McDonalds staff who DEMANDED to know what she was up to.She explained she was dressed up for Children In Need and they said they thought she was coming to protest about the burgers and meat they sold. The incident left her quite distressed..
Mmmm...paranoia by McDonald's perhaps?Something to hide perhaps?
We've all heard the stories about McDonalds;the rainforests cut down for intensive farming ect. This to me,just re-inforces those stories.
What do you think?

why are so many people adopting children from overseas? Wouldn't it be more important to help the children in our own country first?

Well, I have been thinking for a while on this subject. But let's face it. Most people don't go out as much as they used to. I mean, I hardly ever see kids playing outside around my neighborhood, and I know that every one of my friends in highschool has a MySpace account. And the main purpose of said MySpace is to communcate with others and meet new people. But how are they actually communicating? Only so much can be told with words and pixels, but actions are louder than words. With all this technology surrounding us, one has to ask if we are alienating ourselves in an illusional way. For instance, the telephone connects us with people at far away distances. But that's just an illusion. We really don't know what the person is doing on the phone, and whether or not you are talking to them, you are still alienated from that person. What are your thoughts?

This is a question that has always interested me, so what do you think? Does music, movies, and television really have a negative affect on us?

It seems like too often violent or otherwise controversail entertainment is the fault for an act of crime. Be it school shootings, rapes, robberies, arson, whatever. I ask because I personally feel that we do put too much fault on it.

For example, Marilyn Manson has had a profoundly great impact on me. He has inspired me to look at anything in an objective view, go to college, and all around continue to stay active in life. Yet, he has been blamed for bad things in our country. Then there's Grand Theft Auto. For me, its a great game for me to unwind to, yet in reality, I know that violence is barbaric and those crimes are bad.

But thats just me. What do you think?

I know that many Chinese, Japanese, and Korean people admire white people in the way that we look and what we stand for. I just find it ridiculous that they are so obsessed with us that they'll get surgery to look like us! How many white people do you see that get surgery to make their eyes smaller???

My troop wants everyone with a leadership position to attend the PLC's and if they don't meet the required percentage of the plc's they cant have there leadership position. I have been missing a majority of them, but i have actively participated in everything else. According to the BSA website only the Patrol leaders and a few others mentioned are supposed to go, but the scribe is not mentioned. Several troop websites also don't have the scribe go. Can anyone help me?

I often get confused if they're genuine homeless (or beggar - I don't know how to call them nicely) asking for help and some changes from civilians, or if they're just pretending to be beggar to obtain money easily from people without hard work and efforts.

What do you think? Would you spare them some changes even if you think they're acting as if they're mendicants?
