This is a question that has always interested me, so what do you think? Does music, movies, and television really have a negative affect on us?

It seems like too often violent or otherwise controversail entertainment is the fault for an act of crime. Be it school shootings, rapes, robberies, arson, whatever. I ask because I personally feel that we do put too much fault on it.

For example, Marilyn Manson has had a profoundly great impact on me. He has inspired me to look at anything in an objective view, go to college, and all around continue to stay active in life. Yet, he has been blamed for bad things in our country. Then there's Grand Theft Auto. For me, its a great game for me to unwind to, yet in reality, I know that violence is barbaric and those crimes are bad.

But thats just me. What do you think?

Only to the weak-willed and immature...
(sadly, this includes many kids)

When kids start dressing up like their favourite rapper - and doing EVERYTHING "like they do on mtv" - THEN it is a problem!

Blatant "fanboy" (and fangirl) worship of a celebrity is wrong on so many levels - as everything they do is seen as "THE way" to act/dress/talk...

Now for those who KNOW the difference - and take ONLY what they want from entertainment - it is a POSITIVE thing. If it inspires you to greatness - or just calms you down with a few "dick and fart jokes" - then what is wrong with that?!?!?!?
