Ok...white people ALWAYS stare at me. Like they're afraid of me. I'm scared of KITTENS for Pete's sake...I am not going to hurt anyone.

Today I was at The Cheesecake Factory and omg all these white people we staring at me like I had squiggly lines all over my face. It was SO rude and they didn't even try to hide it.

WTF? How can I stop these people from feeling like they have the right to RUDELY STARE at me because I'm black?

I'm thinking of smiling and waving at them, but I haven't tried that method yet.

***P.S.***: Please, if you're a white person who thinks that just because a person's black means they're gonna hurt you, could you please GET OVER IT and GET OVER YOURSELF!?? Seriously, no one's even thinking about you until you stare them down!

iam native american and french, i came to the uk at 6 years old, i plan to emigrate from the uk, once i get my psychological problems addressed.
i do have a problem with this, yes i do, because firstly im not british and i resent being percieved as one.
i have a tanned complexion and blue eyes, so im depressed because my native heritage doesnt show through enough..i want to be accepted into my own culture and people of ethnicity, not into a culture iam not or dont belong.....where can i meet people of ethnicity or the same background who will accept me?
i cannot wait to emigrate, but i cant right now because i have alot going on.
the other day a british man addressed me in his common tongue as '' son''..i was deeply insulted, as iam not his son...
and i was angry to..iam technically half native half french. but i cannot trace my native roots..i just want to belong, and be accepted by my own culture and people of ethnicity..otherwise id rather be a lone wolf. can anyone relate to this?

Have anyone watch YouTube lately ? If you enter "kid fights" or "skaters"......It is absolutely horrific the type of barbaric behaviour these teens are exhibiting. And NO it is not because of the parents !!!! My concern is not directed towards the participant (because they are lost cause as far as I'm concern), but the spectator. In once clip two girls are beating the hell out of each other. The boys around them are cheering them on and coerce them to increase the violence...I wonder if these kids would react the same watching a lynching or a rape in progress !!!! Has our teens completely lost all moral compass ? Are today's parents are forced to accept these behaviors because they have no choice and stretched becuase of work and responsbility ?

Serious...we are born crying, get sucked into a school, get a job, get married, have kids...and then become the providers to some people...the world is really unfair, scary and nothing can be taken for granted. Whatever you believe...If God was so good, why would he let humanity starve, disasters, wars.

There are so many people that are racist, and so many that claim racism against others, some claims which are false. So many predjudices and stereotypes its ridiculous. Its crap. its not just race issues, but other things as well from being prep, or emo, or even the things you enjoy like gaming. Its pathetic. Some will say gamers are evil because they like killing people on a screen, or just that they are lazy fat people. gamers come in all forms just like everyone else. It doesn't matter what color your skin, or what you like to wear, what country your from, or what you prefer to do with your free time. Is this just from ignorance or what?

Why are we trying to censor so many things out from the American people? Words, Violence, and the topic at hand Sexuality.

Are we really that prudish here in the "free" world. Are we still living in the dark ages where the talk of anything related to sex was a shameful thing? European countries don't have the same strict guidelines when it comes to sex, nudity, language, and television subject matter that we have here. People are wanting so many things to be censored on television, that when a movie comes out, its been edited to death and doesn't compare to the original. People state that they don't want their children seeing these things on the televison, yet they still refuse to pick up the remote and change the channel themselves.

I mean, if you don't want to watch or don't want your family to see something on televison, then pick up the remote control and change the channel yourself.

I know this seems like a basic rant, but i'm just tired of seeing shows torn apart.

Seriously, it seems that no matter what race, if a hispanic person wears abercrombie & fitch or skater clothes they get looked down upon by black & hispanics for not wearing Ecko/Sean John/Rocawear (or urban wear in general) and white people give them weird looks. Why?

And when it comes to dealing (talking and such), most blacks will talk to hispanics like they come from the 'hood or something, and even other hispanics have this ghetto expectation. Why is it so bad if a hispanic person speaks proper english and chooses to be nothing like that? I know it all has to deal with the area you were raised in, but let's face it not all hispanics are from the barrio or ghetto (or even from another country).

So why is it that when me and my friends (we're all hispanic and rockers, btw), go to NYC and places where there's a high hispanic/blk population, other hispanics and blacks will give us these really bad looks. Just because we're choosing not to be ignorant doesn't make us bad.

My husband Grew up in California he calls them Tennis shoes. I'm from Wisconsin and call them sneakers. He thinks that the word Sneaker is some old fashioned out of date word or only people from the Mid-West say "Sneakers". I wonder what do most people call them? Also can you tell us where you grew up to determine if it is really where you live that determines what you call them.

Anyone know the history if why we call them Sneakers...It is a wierd word

How come the United States has so few nude/clothing optional beaches vs Europe? I mean you go to France, Germany, Spain, Italy, or Sweden and there are a vast number of clothing optional beaches. Here in the US they are a rare find with like a few in Florida and California.

Why do men always have a thing with women and it's not the other way round.

I mean when theres pretty girls walking down the street, there's usually a male driver who honk at them, but it's never the other way round.

In clubs. Men are usually the ones that touches girls asses and volunteer to dance with them first but it's never the other way round.

In clubs too. Men are always the one that uses chat-up lines and it's never the other way round.

In clubs too. When a man likes your appearance they stare at you from afar and freaks you out but it's never the other way round. Even if it is, the man always goes for it.

My friend was offered to sit on a man's lap the other day at a club but you never usually see girls offering to sit on a man's lap.

It's always guys that checks girls up most of the times rarely girls.

Why is that and i don't mean to be sexist

Animal Farm?

Question Details: I remember reading a really good book in HS called "Animal Farm." The Bush administration kind of reminds me of that book. Especially the Bush supporters who, like the sheep in the book, blindly support the administration. The changing of the Laws on the side of the barn, the accusations of “outside” involvement whenever anything goes wrong….

Still a good book with a good moral!

Sprcpt: Yes I agree, but Animal Farm was just the first thing that came to mind.

Why do people always tend to use extremes…Yes, it’s bad to be extremely left or right but I am neither! And as Daniel C mentioned, the book is about a corrupt government!
