I guess it depends upon your definition of Success.
To me success is living a life that you are not ashamed of, able to put meat on the table, roof over the head, friends around you, good conversation.
As much as those with an evil agenda SEEM successful, bottom-line, they will end up being miserable human beings because they burned too many bridges (business and personal), and as much as the money or pride may hold them for a while....when you're old and grey, this choice they made will haunt them.
Bottom-line, just leave your life in God's faithful hands, and He will guide you to the right jobs and see to it that you don't ever go hungry or be alone. Ever.

i don't think u need to be rude, but it helps if u r a bit pushy.though i think it depends what area of life u wanna be successful in. if raising a healthy happy family makes u a successful person then no! u should be loving and kind :D but if success to u is money and power then sometimes u have to trample on some people to get to the top.

I think that it depends HOW you want to be successful. There are millions of successful people out there, not all in the same way. Some of them require a certain ambition or cunning while others only require passion, etc. to succeed.

Ha! It seems that most successful people are rude and mean (think Donald Trump). I refuse to act that way in order to be successful!

To you what to be successful with friends? Or do you want to be successful alone? Being evil to achieve goals might provide you money and things, but loyal and loving friends and companions are so much better. Afterall, your money won't love you, or cry for you when you die.

No.
It is important to have a passionate streak, a work ethic, and some luck.
Evil is generally counter-productive.

It's important to have a "self-serving" streak in order to be successful.
I'm not in agreeance that it's necessary to be an a$$.

I don't think so, but sometimes people use that to aggressively get their way. More likely that is an abuse of power, and it shouldn't be tolerated by that person's peers in the group.
