Does the American flag remind anyone else of kitsch or camp, or some variation of it? Most flags I have seen have two or three basic colors and a simple design. The US flag looks like a five year old designed it.

The stripes represent the first thirteen states, while the stars represent the current 50 states, meaning that when Betsy Ross, who likely never should have been allowed near a sewing kit, designed it, the 13 stripes represented the 13 states whilte the 13 stars represented the 13 states.

Seeing the Betsy Ross flag makes me realize that American culture was doomed from the start.

Your nation anthem makes a big deal of the flag being a symbol of freedom and bravery. It gets desecrated often (most news stations have covered images of this happening). Does it still mean anything to anyone?

lets say, thousands of years ago when Gods where plentyful and ppl had trouble in their lives ,they would go and ask for help from these Gods. some other ppl realized that these unfortunate folks left a token of appreciation to their beloved Gods, and capitalized on this , slowly but successfully they cashed in on this! as time went on, they came up with the Idea to have one huge God ,the one that could make your life wonderful but the prize went up! not only did your tokens of apreciation go higher, but laws of what and how where thrown in as well, for more power for those who where running the show! up until today these capitalists are the most powerful and richest ppl on earth. Their conspiracy worked and ppl are paying their hard earned money to the churches and oraganizations in return for a blessing of something that was made up!

caould you agree that this might not be far fetched????

You live in an apartment and you only have one parking spot. You get along with your neighbors when you first move in. Then one of them next door moves out and suddendly you find that the new neighbor has lots of friends. Now someone is often parked in your spot. You go to talk to them about it and they say,"oh yeah, I was going to apologize." Then someone else parks there and you ask the driver why he didn't notice the number that is painted on your spot. He gives you the dumbest response. Now you're afraid to even move your car just to make sure you don't lose your spot AGAIN when you get back. Do you buy a sawhorse and put a No Parking sign on it? Do you get revenge? Do you just keep complaining about it repeatedly? How do you keep from screaming at them? Right now, all I can think of to do is to park behind them or just sit there honking until someone comes out. This is not what I wanted. It's been going on since the day they moved in. What now?

Senator Clinton says as first lady she visited kings and queens, dictators and world leaders everywhere so she has foreign relations experience but she will need at least a year to develop a feel for them before she would visit them again. Obama says he will meet with third world leaders within the first year in office and he seems to have some understanding of the differences and issues between the U.S. and third world countries. He later said he too would do some preparation work. I would think the sooner we start talking with these other countries and try to establish some mutual understanding and respect the world will be better off. Do we have another two plus years to do this in or should we open dialog with them as soon as one of these two becomes president?

ok so my friend is stuck in new jersey cause her insaine mother doesnt want to let her come back yet (shes staying with her dad) and all of her friends want her back and she wants to come back and its bad enough that her mom is moving them and making her go to a different high school next year and what can we do to get her to come back for at least the rest of the summer before she moves?

i'm tired of turning the tv on to see commercials showing a girl in a skimpy outfit advertising a hamburger. i'm disgusted by commercials that show women chasing after men and pouring chocolate on themselves just to advertise a body spray. i think its rediculous how kia, the car company, shows a couple who needed 'spice' in their love life and claim now that they can 'go forever' now that they have this car, indirectly suggesting sex. and calvin klein ads, advertising jeans, showing a naked woman only covered by a mans hands. and now DQ? showing a freakin ice cream cone and ice cream wanting to have sex, and saying 'they were made for each other'. it's absolutely rediculous that this is the norm for society now. no, i'm not conservative and i'm a normal person. dont tell me that i need to get over it, because that just tells me that they've got you thinking that its normal.

If you pick up random objects from dumpsters, trash cans, or off the side of the road (where people throw stuff away) or things that are just abandoned?

I noticed in many of the poor neighborhoods, many black men wear shower caps over their hair while out in public. I was just curious what is the reason for that? Is that some kind of hair treatment or something?

Michael Vick has not been found guilty of anything as of right now, and yet so many people are calling for him to be booted from football and are demanding sponsors drop him etc. Is it guilty until proven innocent? I am a middle aged white guy who happens to also be a dog lover and I support Vick 100% until he is actually found guilty. If he is found innocent will all the wacky animal rights activist drop everything and also apologize to Vick for all the hate mongering they have done towards him? Some how I highly doubt that. I can allready hear them say how if he is found innocent it is only because he is rich and can afford a good lawyer. Well you can't have it both ways. So when he is found innocent all you people that are ready to stone him throw that rock right back into your own face.

I can't stand the guy but the backlash is retarded and over-the-top. When was the last time these people took in or fed a stray animal, yet they act like they are spokespeople for PETA. And half of them eat meat provided by inhumane means.

This is the epitome of hypocrisy. Yes, it's bad he's behind a dogfighting ring, but when's the last time you ate a juicy hamburger or wore a leather belt? Get over yourself because it looks really dumb.

You know I have been driving for for about 15 years now, and getting gas for that long to. Most gas nozels have that liltte safety clip you can set when you put the nozel into you talk. This allows you to walk away and do other things. Well, it's suppose to click off once your tank is full. Today....MINE DIDN'T CLICK OFF!! has this ever happened to you? And how much money were you able to get back, and how much was your tab?
Some guy had to turn mine off...I had 3/4 filled tank as it was and my bill was $40. I got $15 back and a free car wash...now I smell like gas too. ugh!
