Good point. Why do we feel outraged about Vick but not about this: http://www.meat.org ?

Good observation that just means we all have to lessen our meat intake ,or even stop eating meat and eat "tofu" as a substitute of meat for protein, and eat a more balanced diet that consists of organic vegetables, carbohydrates, fruit, and a lot of water. Which I am doing now which I find sometimes difficult and most of the time beneficial and healthy, I started noticing positive changes in my skin tone and energy during the day. And lost some weight and gain muscle tone.

However, the point is that Vick and his friends trained the animals to kill each other by using methods that abused the dogs mental state and physical state. Normally a dog would not just attack another dog unless it felt threatened.

Now, try picturing it were instead of dogs, it would be people, or children. Now instead to teaching the natural order of life and love, we teach them how to kill, by letting them experience feelings of hate, fear, anger, depression. then put them against another person who has been treated and trained the same way, would that seem immoral? Its up too you, its your point of view. However, Most of the time the person would not know that what he or she is doing is immoral, because their mental state of living in fear, anger, hate would be their only perception and awareness to the relationship to what ever comes into their life. This mental state could take over at anytime. And even if you rescued that person and changed their environment there is still a chance it will slip into the mental state of killing or hurting someone. People who came back from war who killed people for a living, there mental state is not the same.

I think Vietnam was one of those events, (there are others but lets use this as an example), that is why some soldiers back then used drugs to escape the experiences that they saw, and the things they did. It affected their mental state .So they tried to find a way not to hurt others only themselves, because they felt the pain and guilt and did not desire anyone else to be feel that pain, or lash out negative feelings on others because they loved them and respected them. They did not wish for people to remember their changed personality because of the war, they wished for them to be remembered as the loving person they were before they went off to war.

That is why even if you rescue dogs from this type of environment there is a chance that they will slip into that attack mode state and hurt someone near them for no reason.

"You can take the man out of the hood, but you can never take the hood out of the man."

Yet your point on not eating meat is a good point. I was big meat eater before. But as I got older I realized that I must change my diet and lifestyle if I wish to live longer and healthier. And with health care today I don't wish to be in a position that I find myself helpless by having health problems, or hurt others in my lack of observing what I eat and how I live my life.

Another fact that many people don't know is that, these animals we eat, are over feed and force feed with food that have chemicals inside that the animals eat. And are digested by the animal to make the meat healthier they say, and more juicy they proclaim. Yet, these chemicals are not natural and only benefit the body for a short amount of time, and in the long-term rate these chemicals will end your life at an earlier period and cause health problems as you get older.

Yet the meat eating desire is another person choice, if they wish to change their diet to live longer and healthier, it is up to them when they wish to start and observe what they eat and the lifestyle they live.
Good observation.

You're an idiot.
I hope you realize that it was meat that allowed our ape-like ancestors develop larger brains?
I would never abuse an animal. If they killed cows in the same way that Vick guy killed dogs, I wouldn't eat it.\

I love beef

Do you really equate meat eaters with ignorant morons who FORCE dogs to fight? I saw a film clip where to guys tried to get 2 dogs to fight. The dogs did not want to fight and even licked each others faces. If the dogs won't fight, lose or fight poorly, those 'people' SHOT, HUNG, ELECTROCUTED, DROWNED and BEAT THE DOGS TO DEATH for their poor showing!
Get your head outta your arrogant hind parts and look what's REALLY going on around you!

True, abusers though I understand how stressful it is for a cow to be hearded into a line and have to watch the cows in front of him go down one at a time, knowing his turn is next.

however, it takes seconds for them to die once the rod is inserted into their brain.

chickens suffer long hot days cramped in cages one on top of each other only to be swung in circles until their head pops off.

and so on

what about the calves only a few weeks old stuffed into a crate to have their bones dislocated as they grow and not allowed to get up just so we can have tender liver

or the black bear stuffed also in a cage with their bile slowly sucreted from the bladder or liver living daily with this hose stuck in their organs cause massive pain and the agony of never being able to move for fear the hose will fall out.

dogs being strung up and skinned alive for meat

elephants being gorged with hooks the size of your arm until they actually drop to the ground in pain (actually crying) from the pain. al this so the "handler" can be in control when transporting them from circus to circus.

or the Chinese who like to hole up two black bears and starve them so they can pay people to throw in tidbits of food so they can see them tear each other apart just to stay alive.

fun.

There's a big difference between humanely and quickly killing an animal and breeding animals to kill each other and suffer in agony for hours.

OK, now you're just being way too extreme. If you compare my sitting down to have a steak to electrocuting dogs then I think one of us needs a reality pill...
