I read this story..

and I thought - aren't there any black people who support animal rights? And aren't there any white people who think people are innocent until proven guilty.

How and why is this becoming a racial issue?

It makes my heart sad.

I thought the same when I read the article. Why is this about being made a racial issue? The fact is that Vick deserves the right to a fair trail because this is America. In turn, animal rights activist have a right to scream bloody murder towards Vick for his alleged brutal actions against animals. The color of his skin should not be an issue. His actions and his right to a fair trail is all that is an issue. I don't support animal cruelty - I say, let the legal system do its job.

There are blacks who believe in animal rights.
It's become a racial issue because some people can make ANYTHING a racial issue.
Yes, white people DO think people are innocent until proven guilty.
This isn't the first brush with the law Vick has had.
He gave a sexual partner herpes. She disappeared...how much money was she given?
He was busted for having drugs in his system. That was brushed under the carpet.
Now, this dog fighting thing.
If the dogs wouldn't fight, fought poorly or lost...they were ELECTROCUTED, SHOT, HUNG, DROWNED OR BEATEN TO DEATH. (I saw a film clip where 2 dogs were being forced to fight, but the dogs didn't want to fight. They even licked each others faces!)
Where there's smoke 3 times, there must be a fire someplace!
Oh, and people saw him out there in Surry County several times! duh

I love animals. Every time I see them it touches my heart. I think Mike Vic is a jerk and deserves to go to jail. He knew what those people were doing on his property. Those were his friends and he knew what kind of people they were. I hope the judge throws the book at him. I heard that he may also be accused of racketeering and could get 20 years for that. What ever! He deserves what he gets.

If Vick did this, I hope he gets prosecuted. I'm not all that into animal rights, but the reality is, there are laws against dog fighting and if he broke them he needs to deal with the consequences.

Now let's talk about barroids bonds... ;)

Of course there are. I don't like Michael Vick ever since it came out in that lawsuit a few years ago that he knowingly infected a woman with Herpes.

He has a flawed character and this is just another testament. But, since we don't know his level of involvement, we can't say burn him at the stake, but he should have been smarter. But he seems to only care about himself.

The Michael Vick case isn't a racial issue. How is it White people's fault that a famous black quarterback in the N.F.L. likes to have dogs fight & kill eachother?

I just think the black athete and hip hop culture are about as pathetic a group of people as you can get. I certainly wouldn't look to that group for any worthwhile traits. Herpes Vick is a perfect example.

Just like the intelligent answer above me using "cracker".

He didn't do anything. The dog fights were held in his backyard while he was out of town, so legally it was on his property making him guilty by association. But clearly he had no knowledge of what was going on. Whatever stupid crackers always want to blame us for everything anyways, I'm so over this ****.
