My American govt teacher actually posed this question to the class and the answer she gave was great. She said she would change the fact that Americans always seem to blame others for their actions.

How do these two President's statements make you feel when seen in contrast with the other? How do you view each separately? What does it mean to you personally? What does it mean to you as a whole? Does one take away from the other and if so, how?

Please think deeply for a moment after reading these quotes and before giving your thoughts. Thanks!

Theodore Roosevelt, (1858-1919), 26th president, once said, "To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."

George Walker Bush, 43rd President, once said, "Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists."

Without slavery many of us would still be in Africa suffering with poverty, short lifespan, AIDS, etc. Janette Jackson and Bill Cosby (African American heroes) would never be known without slavery. I guess that the old history books condemning slavery didn't really have a grasp of the entire picture. FFT

Would you ever be friends with another guy that was ugly and had to wear a diaper? If so, would you take him to clubs and other public places?

what is the point of killing each other?
I mean... there are some horrible diseases which cause many people's deaths, but why do people want to kill those who are innocent? Is the reason money?

Not long ago, somebody asked me Africa was one country, i could not stop laughing!
Ignorance is no excuse!
Even back in Africa, i knew all states of the United States, all countries in Europe and their capitals!

Has anyone else noticed this? :)

When the the Northeast U.S. and Ontario lost all power.

Toronto, NYC, Newark, Buffalo, Detroit, Windsor, London, ON, Rochester, Philadelphia (i think), Pittsburgh, Cleveland.

At that time I lived on Long Island, and everything just went of. I was watching cartoons. I turned on the radio, NYC and Toronto were powerless, people were crossing the Bridges out of Manhattan, leaving the subways. People were directing traffic. NYC was in chaos.
