adoptive stories? Does any REALLY care? And why the heck doesn't she adopt here in the US...there are plenty of ethnic babies that need loving (rich) families. Why does the US government and now our celebreties find it necessary and "good" to help every other poor 3rd world nation before starting here at home?


America is fastly becoming a 3rd world nation with our increasing social gap. I think it's time for a wake up call America....when Canada pratically closes it's boarders to us is when we should seriously start looking at society, education and financial status/standings with the rest of world.

when i first went into the field, ppl would say that about this field and i didn't know why they said that...but my experiences with professors and students are proving it to be true...i think ppl who study psych need massive therapy, more than crazy ppl do...

I see everywhere they ask about ethnicity, they put as categories:

white (not hispanic)
black (not hispanic)
native american (not hispanic)
asian (not hispanic)
two or more races (not hispanic)
hispanic (regardless of race)

Why is that? I would have guessed that your race is your race regardless of the language you speak, Why make hispanic a race, when it has nothing to do with it?

Do you stop being what you are if you speak spanish or what?
It makes no sense, I think

Think critically please. What is your opinion on the concept of patriotism? The idea that countries are quantifiable and/or better than each other. Is this contrary to the notion of all men being equal or are they both compatible? Are people better than one another? If one holds similar views about a race or religion that person would be called a supremacist, racist, or close-minded. On the other hand it could be viewed as someone supporting a sports team or a particular brand over another. In this respect should everyone love their country? Is it traitorous not to do so? How do you feel about it?

It's like they don't even acknowledge that I may be a single woman. When I answer the phone and someone asks for Mr or Mrs (my name here) I tell them they have the wrong number, since there is no Mr. or Mrs. by that name living in my home. What do you think?

I know this is a wired question but, my girlfriend and I have been dating for almost 6 years now, since we were 17. As a result, we haven't made an effort to keep or make friends. Now that we are older and maturing, we realize that we need to have a social life beyond our family and each other. The problem is we are both terrible at making friends mainly because our time consists of going to work, and working on our business. we need suggestions on how to find / make friends. we do go out a lot by ourselves, but we'd like to be able to have some mutual friends as well as our own..... just seems so difficult
