there were (and are) varying types of slavery, but the slavery of the Americas, particularly in the Carribean, reached a new low of inhumanity.

Slavery has always been horrendous. The Jews enslaved by the Egyptians to build their pyramids. The male slaves to work for the female royalty of that time had their penis' cut off.
But slavery is caused by greed of money and power. I don't agree with it at all. Thank God, for the most part, slavery around the world has been abolished.

Just because everybody is doing it dosent make it acceptable.People should use there own brain instead of following the crowd.Arabs are still involved in slavery in africa does that mean other cultures should get slaves?

Just goes to prove humans are capable of bending over backwards if necessary to justify our selfishness. Doesn't make it right.

There's the slaves!
We (the majority being White) get to see the slaves (the professional athlete, the majority being Black, except the NHL and NASCAR).
Just like the Romans, Brits, etc........
We get to pay to see the slaves!

don't forget the greeks. they enslaved other groups as well as other greeks. the egyptians enslaved the Jews. Slavery still exists: sex slave trade. I wish I knew the answer to your question.
