Please help, dear wise ones? Have I lagged that far behind the world? (Or, please forgive me if I seem insulting, has "Californication" taken over so much?) I've seen an ad for a cat food that includes "emotional" as a selling point. Is this valid? Would it make YOU tend to buy this cat food?

My thought is, why do we worship the fact that God is a cruel and selfish being IF there is such a person?
ONLY someone good should be worshipped, yet doesn't the Koran say KILL non-believers? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. Very good religion to follow, I DON'T think.
Also are we to believe that God is so bad that he wants to make us suffer for the loss of his son.
Get real, life evolved WITHOUT a GOD.

In turn that will only increase the cost of living. Wouldn't the actual solution be to decrease the cost of living?

Face it people, they're never going to permit you to be well to do. The most people can ask for is a means to make a living without killing themself; but, that ain't going to happen.

Look at it this way, if the minimum wage is increased, automatically they increase the cost of living. This leaves the people making minimum wage in the same place, starving; and it puts the people that make more then the minimum wage, making minimum wage or that much more closer to it.

I realize this question is now closed for comment, but I was reading thru answers and found alot of hostility in them. If Oprah wants to help residents of Cabrin Green relocate MORE POWER TO HER! I feel the people who responded to her relocating are jealous people. And what do Gayle and Stedman have to do with it, her yes men, Please. If I had the money Oprah has, I would do EVERYTHING WITHIN MY POWER to be as helpful to the world I live in as I possibly could be. I think I would give till it hurt, starting with my own community and working my way out to the rest. There are alot of people in our world where someone like Oprah is a Godsend. She worked for every dime of that money. Go ahead Oprah keep being responsible!!! I salute your efforts. May you one day go to Heaven and I hope God puts it in his headlines OPRAH ARRIVES!!!!
