Please help, dear wise ones? Have I lagged that far behind the world? (Or, please forgive me if I seem insulting, has "Californication" taken over so much?) I've seen an ad for a cat food that includes "emotional" as a selling point. Is this valid? Would it make YOU tend to buy this cat food?

I guess an ad, even if it is about cat food, can appeal to emotions to sell (like how cute the cat is, show nice scenes of playing with your pet, whatever). Anyway I guess actually using that word in the ad is ridiculous. But then it is the world of publicity, and we shouldn't ask for logic after all.
