when entering friends houses pubs shops etc in fact all buildings I allways have to leave the way I came in .It somehow feels unlucky to me if I were to leave through a different door , does anyone else have this problem.

I have always had the problem of telling people what they want to hear vs. telling them what I truely feel and being more blunt. I know in some case you have to sugar coat things a little. What is the best thing to do or does it vary based on situation?

There is a Store 24 not far from where I live. At about 3:00am or so (not sure exactly what time because I've never been there to see them put the sign up), they put a sign on their door saying that they are closed for an hour or so. Now, I thought the whole purpose of Store 24 was that they didn't ever close, open 24 hours a day. Interestingly, a 7 Eleven right next door to it seems to stay open all night.

I've also seen signs on the outside fence of a playground area that say "No Dogs Allowed". Do they expect the dogs to read these signs and follow the instructions? WOOF! WOOF!

Anyway, what are some strange signs you have seen in your area? (or, maybe I just have a wacky sense of the english language....)

According to ancient mayan beliefs , our world as we know it will come to an end by the date above. I cant find myself to believe such nonsense, but when u take a really good look around,u have to think, can the planet really take us for another 100 years? or let alone 10? pollution is a main threat, but mass starvation is on the way aswell as violent weather patterns that are now just starting to occur. itsa scary thought, but am i the only one seeing such jurastic events occuring in sucha hurry? ex. tsunamis, record breaking earthquakes,more powerful hurricanes, and it seems to get worse every year..

Thanks guys- first off don't read too far in to this, I'm not considering suicide or anything like that (sorry if the title question sounded a little urgent!).

In short: My father, up until marrying my mother, was a career (but petty) criminal, who became resolute and changed his ways upon meeting her; obviously with his record he could not get a fancy, high-wage job, instead starting work for a small greengrocers on minimum wage (and staying there ever since, although he is now manager). He was, from the moment I was born, honest, good and hard working, and did everything with me in mind so I could have the best life (I was not a spolt child by any means, but never went seriously without). Because of this I've grown up (now 21 and about to graduate) without any 'drive'; I have no competitive spirit, no motivation- I'm just a romantic dreamer with no fire in the belly.

I never noticed before, but now it's beginning to upset me and get me down; what can I do? Thanks.

can it be to just give up? Having just been turned down for the umpteenth job I've just been onto the jobseekers website over here and there are no jobs. O zero none at all. It actually says 'there are 0 jobs to choose from'. It's probably just a glitch on the site (there were like 60.000 yesterday) but not five minutes after a rejection email I can't help thinking it's a sign that I am unemployable, undeserving of a job or any kind of halfway decent life with my own income.

Me:
Person - When I was like 7-8 years old I was way angry with my younger brother and we fought, so I banged his head with the wall, and he actually lost memory for a few seconds before becoming back normal but with a head injury. (Yeah I was a pain in the a$$ when I was a child).

Thing: Just a few months ago I was so angry while taking a shower because the water so weak, so I grabbed the shower head and hit it to the wall, and it became pieces!
(You see a pattern here? :-D )

I could see that youngsters are more and more interested to twist all the question and answers to sex. Where as there are more burnning evils hanging to drop on shoulders of young generations.
They have to put more efforts to get the things right for the better future.

i'm a really peaceful stoner. i'm a pacifist and i would never get into a fight with anyone.

i used to think that all stoners are like this to a degree - we're all peaceful people.

but recently, i've begun to wonder. i've seen some marijuana users who are pretty crappy and arrogant people when they're stoned, and get into fights, if not physical, than psychological and verbal.

are stoners becoming more violent? what can be done?
