When you are speaking to a kid and say, "Don't hit!" ---they do it.

Or when you are in a restaurant and the waiter/waitress says, "Don't touch your plate, its really hot!"--we still move our plate and touch it

What are your thoughts?

The post office I use (closest to me) only has two registers. Today, on my day off, I go and have 18 packages to mail for E-bay. The post office is busy to begin with and I’m about 7 people deep in the line. So as I get closer, more people walk in and the line begins to extend out the door. Once I’m at the counter I heard a few people moaning and groaning about the line (basically me with all the packages) and one said “Yeah. He should go to the one down town instead of holding up this one”. I was not pleased at this remark… I turned around an said “You people want to talk about waiting?!?!?!?! I’m off today but I’m usually here on my lunch breaks waiting in line because of you BASTARDS (can’t stress how much I dragged the word B-A-S-T-A-R-D-S). I look at my watch and see my lunch break tick away because morons like yourselves take 5 minutes to decide what design stamp you want, take time to time to come in and say the mail man is late, ask why the mailman comes so late in the day & have a standard envolope weighed because you think it exceeds 39 cents!!!! Well today is my turn to make you BASTARDS wait!!!!!” Not a word – line was in shock. However, both cashiers were smiling and trying SO HARD not to laugh. To top it off, I took another 3-4 minutes to look at each stamp and ask questions about them.

Just as a test I answered several questions indentically to someone else and they got a thumbs up and I got a thumbs down. I mean word for word. Are these the same people that report us for idiotic reasons and we have no recourse to find out whom they are?

I work with a majority of Hispanics and most of them are very sweet. I have noticed that they are are reserved at first, I guess they don't know how we'll act towards them?I have worked with one guy for about the past 8 months and him and I have become really good friends, despite our language barrier. I can speak more Spanish than he does English and we both converse and teach each other our language. He tells me that I am his best "amiga" and that he hopes we are friends forever. He also will say stuff like "sexy" or "bonita" or "tienes novio? porque..tu eres muy bonita" which I just take as joking. A lot of the people I work with figure why bother to try and communicate with them and do not even give them the time of day. Do you think they appreciate an effort in getting to know them and communicating and that's why he tells me I am his best "amiga" or is it just a cultural difference? I know I appreciate it when they speak English and I get offended when people make racist remarks.

We are all little people. Why do we speak don on each other like any of us has more power than the next person? You went to Harvard, I went to a community college, you make fun of me yet you barely make more money than me. None of us are millionaire powerbrokers so why do we look up to them while bashing each other. We are in this together. If anything don’t you think we just kick the sht out of the rich people and take their money?

Bring it on, if you want to call me names, make fun of my hair color, or even hey, you may find my belief's offensive, but I laugh at all of you who think the same and dress the same. Just think about this, feeding time must be a b---c-, for all your sheep.

What would you do if you had a sneaking suspicion that your parents are trying to pull one over your eyes ?

I've already requested off for Friday, but, my plans have changed and I need to leave town on Thursday at 2 pm. Therefore, I need to leave work Thursday at 12 to do this. What could I tell my supervisor? He thinks I'm having outpatient surgery Friday, so what could I say to be able to leave early on that Thursday?( I need a good excuse)

, two drugs that do absolutely nothing for you at all - are legal, and the drugs that might open your mind up to realise how you're being fucked every day of your life? Those drugs are against the law. Coincidence?
See, I'm glad mushrooms are against the law, cos I took 'em one time, you know what happened to me? I laid in a field of green grass for four hours, going, 'My God, I love everything.'
Yeah, now if that isn't a hazard to our countries...

I am curious to hear answers from Britons. As of late, I have received several snide remarks on Yahoo Answers from people from the UK. Everyone I have ever met from England always seemed very polite and proper (for example: I have some friends that live on the Isle of Man - and they are the sweetest, friendliest, well mannered couple). I have traveled to England 3 times in my life (but the last trip was 20 years ago) - so I am wondering if things have changed. What are your thoughts on this?

Also I read this article that addressed this problem:

Does this seem true to you?
