Is it just me or are cameras taking away our privacy more each day. This can be from the humble picture camera to the giant CCTV camera. It appears cameras are appearing everywhere these days. As much as they can be beneficial in giving evidence is it reflecting the state of the world today.
I don,t mind picture phones but i hate speed cams.

cctv cameras are useless i was talking to a copper one day and he said that our local sports center had reported some vandlisam caught on cctv camera but they couldnt do anything because the person concerened hadnt given permission to be filmed!! go figure

cameras are excellent. its the uses to which we put them which are questionable. gatso cameras are simply revenue generators, CCTV, well, this verges on big brother... however, if your do no wrong, live and let live and lets get along.
CCTV is a good thing in city centres, and in this age of higher fences, we dont want anyone to see in, whilst we feel teh need to peek out... just to see whats going on. the trouble is it fuels paranoid delusions.. and its a vicious circle.
cameras just record what theyre pointed at, in pretty much the same was a kalashnikov kills whetever its pointed at...its all down to who is doing the shooting, and just as importantly why theyre shooting.
i may have a vested interest as im an avid photographer..but a frozen moment, an abstract and an anachronism 5 minutes later. still photographs convey more meaning and symbolism than any video cctv.

Half of them don't work anyway. They just spent £160,000 fitting cameras in the local highstreet, only for it to turn out the weren't working when an armed robbery took place.

Man's technology moves far faster than his intellectual knowlege of that technology.
I say send us back to the stoneage for a while...its too complicated now.

i dont mind cameras,as long as they arent speed cameras grrrrr
