From a northerner's perspective, southerners aren't the friendliest people in the world. The times I've gone to the South many times I have said something like "good morning", but all I get is a blank stare.
I should ask a question on Y!A: "Why are Southerners so strange?"

Northerners don't have as much time as southerners for chit chat. lol, its the difference between being landlocked or coastal. Some people just take longer to be friendly.
