Not saying it's wrong, because giving is still giving. It just seems that no one is interested in giving during spring or summer...why do you think that is?

i posted this previously today but was not happy that there were no(1) hits on it since most questions of this nature spark more controversy that any other - no thats no what im after here - back to the movie - this is an IFC satirical "documentary" by spike lee about what life would be like today if the south HAD won....i am so not racist but i swear this is the funniest thing i have seen...and i tend to think that its because i am not racist that it really doesnt bother me because i do have ethnicity in perspective....are there people who are offended that have seen it and whether offended or not - if you saw it what did you think of it?...i laughed my A.$$ off! and btw...if i have offended anyone - i extend my apologies i just wanted others opinions.

That's assuming we're still around. But will we all be 8 foot tall, or 35 stone, or hardwired into the net, or warring in small tribes all over the world - or will we have attained utopia? Will we be staring up at distant stars from new planets. Or will be scratching round in the ruins of cities and civilisation? Just wanted to get your thoughts, that's all.

People are so rude these days! I was at school and a this ugly girl pulled this girl's pony tail out. I think she did it cuz she was jealous cuz the girl was pretty. I had a little fight in my school and i won, but everyone said i got beat up! The guy hit me once! I don't understand why they did this. My friends just said that they were trying to bring me down. Not to brag, but I'm a straight A student. I think they're just jealous. Anyway can anyone tell me why people r so cruel?

Why do people label "acting white" and "acting black" and then when asked to describe "acting white" these people usually describe it to mean speaking properly, wearing properly fitting clothes, being interested in getting educated and then "acting black" is dressing and acting "street" and shunning education? It's bad enough that some white people believe this but it absolutely stumps me as to why a black person would think this. Why would they think a fellow black person that desires to get an education and a decent job would be "acting white"? Isn't that basically being racist towards yourself, as if it betrays your race to try to break a cycle of unfortunate poverty in this country? At this point aren't you repressing yourself?

Ok, so I know this question sounds racist, but it's really more of an observation than anything else. When I was in Africa, I visited and lived in six sub-Saharan countries, and I noticed that in every one of these countries, in every village I visited, African men were SOOOO lazy. The women were the ones who did all of the chores, raised the children, cooked, carried water from the well, walked miles to the market to buy groceries and haul them back, etc. The African men simply sat on their @$$e$ on the porch, talking, laughing, and eating, doing nada. African women did ALL of the work..it made me feel so sick. Then, when I come back to the United States, I work with and see sooooo many Black women who take care of the family, pay the bills, etc. while the men in their lives (if they're even around) mooch off of their hard work. I know not all Black men are deadbeats, but sometimes I wonder if Black men being lazy is a cultural thing, maybe carried over from Africa?

I'm trying to find information about a friend of mine who died run over by a truck in Las Vegas on the 1st of Jan 1997.The problem is that probably any record was registered under another name,not his.How could I find any possible information?I just know he was taken back to hungary to be buried.

on the content of their character. I wholeheartedly agree and want to treat people as such. Why then, do modern day black leaders(Sharpton, Jackson, Farakhan) constantly want special treatment for black people.
Affirmative action is a prime example. Why should anyone get an advantage because of their ethnicity? The playing field is level.

I do realize that there are people who are racist and would never hire a person of a race they didn't like. But I have been to many a chinese restaurant and seldom see a white man or black man working there. Where is their quota?

I am married to a woman of another race and attend a multi-racial church, so please don't call me a racist, I'm not. I just don't understand why we can't shoot for MLK's dream rather than swinging the pendullum the other way.
