Not saying it's wrong, because giving is still giving. It just seems that no one is interested in giving during spring or summer...why do you think that is?

Because attention is not paid to during the year. Out of sight out of mind people tend to focus on less fortunate people when it is convenient for them but that does undermine the fact that they are homeless during the whole entire year not only during the holidays.

People feel more generous around these two holidays for obvious reasons, who wants to think of the homeless around Valentine's Day or July 4th (for example). The 'giving' days trigger that little cell in your brain that handles empathy and good thoughts. Another way of saying this, is that we're conditioned while growing up to give and get gifts during the two holidays you mentioned, thus its in our subconscious.

It is very sad , but most people are so wrapped up in their own lives that they don't think of others until someone mentions it around the holidays . Then the next question is why do we only mention it around the holidays . I guess most of us are selfish .
I don't have much to get by on since I was injured , but I'm going to go out tonight and do something nice for someone less fortunate .Will you join me ?
