Often injustice benefits those in power, and society does not address injustice until society reaches a 'tipping point' where there are more people interested in change (no longer benefiting in satisfactory ways) than the status quo. Once there are some who formally benefited from the injustice willing to sacrafice that benefit who risk their own powre to adress the situation, side by side with the oppressed, change can happen.

Well that question sounds like an opinion. I dont think there is a right or wrong answer as long as you dont totally say something out there. My opinion is that they don't address injustice, they are too focused on stupud things like TOMCAT and Paris Hilton than to talk about such things or its seen as riskay.

Ok, I'm just bitter. Which society in which time period are we speaking about? Assuming the topic is about post WWII America, society and changes in society's reaction to discrimination is usually driven by the individual's reaction to prejudice and by the policies of interest groups.
