I am tempted to reply, "Who even listens to the nonsensical ravings of a madman to find out?" But then how many millions listened reverently to Hitler all through the 1930s and well into the 1940s? So why don't you just get ahold of some old newsreels and listen for yourself? The most frightening thing you will find is how very much like a sane person a madman can sound. This is why so many cult leaders can maintain their power for such extended periods of time. So now next time you're having a conversation with your next-door neighbor or greeting the postman or making a deposit at the bank you'd best stop and ask yourself, "Could this possibly be the nonsensical ravings of a madman I am hearing right now right here?"

I don't suppose you'll accept, "just read the Republican Party platform"? (g) Didn't think so....

Keep in mind that even psychotic persons are not completely off the wall 24/7 and can be quite lucid at times. But if you want an example of some very.....offbeat.....thinking/speech, check into "clang association" as it relates to schizophrenia or manic-depressive psychosis (bipolar disorder, in the newer nomenclature).

One example, from "Your patient has schizophrenia-handle with care", _Nursing_, Nov 2004 by Wichowski, Harriet C--- "Clang association is meaningless use of rhyming words: 'I read the bed and said the head then led Ted to the dead.' "

Like this: "Fools! They laughed at me! But I'll show them! I'll show all of them! I have completed my WORLD DESTROYING DEATH RAY! mUHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Actually, I am not sure if that is the Nonsensical Ravings of a Madman or the Crazed Rantings of an Evil Lunatic. But something like that anyway.
