Someone told me I don't look or act like a mother. This person told me to "grow up". I wear jeans and T-shirts with sneakers. I play video games with my kids ( and like them!). I don't bother with make-up or blowdrying my hair all fluffy, and I feel uncomfortable in the plaid pants with matching blouse and pumps outfit. I have a stable marriage and nice, well-behaved kids. I take my family seriously, and I do have adult interests like investments and such. But now I feel like at 28, I should dress older. I usually don't care what people say about me or to me, but this one got me wondering. Are there any moms out there like me? Or am I really that odd?

Those buildings were turned to dust. There was nothing but dust.
I dont believe fires can cause that. And Building 7 was not even hit by a plane.

I only moved to the UK, recently and my neighbours next door (attached townhouse) are having a Halloween party right now. The son who handles the entertainment for the party is a DJ, so he has the loudest bassy system-My question is: What time are people allowed to carry on with a party, naturally assuming the party has loud music and people yapping loudly? There has to be a legal time, like in America, where after 10pm no loud disruptive noise (like this, and is keeping my 6 yr old up), so what are the laws regarding same in England???

Wouldn't people with disabilities prefer others to know that there are things they can do, albeith with a handicap, than give the impression that they are ineffectual? For example, if I told you that my car had been disabled, you would tend to think that it was out of commission - not that one of its headlamps wasn't working.

Just wondering because I see a lot of questions regarding double standard of racism. I see on here that the white people think they will get beat up if they express that they are proud of being white. How did they come to this conclusion? I ask, because I don't see any black arvatars answering questions like these, and I have concluded that the people who think they will get beat up because they are proud of their heritage are dilusional. So help me see that this is really an issue by giving me examples of a minority beating you up because you are proud of being white. Personal, not stuff on tv.

First of all, you don't play for a team. Secondly, even if you did, I still wouldn't care.

Over the last 100 years literally millions have died in Europe by the hands of Europeans. Some 15 million people died in WWI. 430 thousand in the Spanish Civil-War.26 million died on the Russian Front alone during WWII. Total numbers in Europe top some 37 to 50 million people perished In WWII. In Northern Ireland some 3 thousand people have died since the 1960’s. Some 10 thousand people have died in Croatia since the early ‘90’s. In Kosovo, Yugoslavia some 10 to 15 thousand people have met their fate. Let’s see that’s the numbers to war alone some 81,458,000 people has died. That’s not including the purges, political executions, and genocide. I really like the superiority of the Europeans they really know how to kill people. Some will say that the US participated in some of these wars and that is true. But how many of these wars did the US start? They call us warmongers well I think they ought to look in the mirror. Its nothing more than Democide: The murder of any person or people by a government, including genocide, politicide, and mass murder.

I reckon I'd choose Mahatma Gandhi, Terry Waite, Chris Rock, Eric Clapton, Gene Kelly and Emmaline Pankhurst. I'd choose a young catering firm and give them free rein to give them a chance to shine, cos lets face it, if you can serve decent food under such circumstances, you deserve every penny!

Why is that when you post a serious question, people give you rude answers? Do they just not care that they are hurting another person, or does that pleasure them?

...smoking a pipe? I really, really want to but realise I'd look like a pile of old ****- pipe-smoking is reserved solely for grey-bearded old men and Cambridge scholars.

So if I can't smoke in the house, or outside (who smokes something as dignified as a pipe outside?!), and will get beaten to a gory paste if I stroll down the Mermaid drawing on a Meershaum, where could I do it? Any suggestions?
