In my graduate class, we've been talking about multicultural education. A lot. I'm you're typical white female, and I don't walk around thinking about how I'm a typical white female.
So here's the question: If you belong to a specific racial, ethnic, or cultural group, how often do you really think about that? For example, if you're Native American, does that constantly run through your head? Does it only occur to you when, say, someone points it out or it's in the media? How does it affect your view of the world on a daily basis? How does it affect your view of yourself?
Please don't be offended by this question. I'm trying to get to know the minds of people who aren't like me so I can better understand other races and cultures.
