In my graduate class, we've been talking about multicultural education. A lot. I'm you're typical white female, and I don't walk around thinking about how I'm a typical white female.

So here's the question: If you belong to a specific racial, ethnic, or cultural group, how often do you really think about that? For example, if you're Native American, does that constantly run through your head? Does it only occur to you when, say, someone points it out or it's in the media? How does it affect your view of the world on a daily basis? How does it affect your view of yourself?

Please don't be offended by this question. I'm trying to get to know the minds of people who aren't like me so I can better understand other races and cultures.

and i dont constantly think about me being p.rican and how would prican's would do something but when i see things out in the street that ppl do, i recognize it as something that a p.rican would do...and usually the person doing it is p.rican...its kinda funny...i recognize certain traits in my culture...i mean who doesnt!?

I don't think it really matters what background you are from, I do think about it but not very often. I'm chinese and people don't really care that I am. I just try to be friends with many people with different backgrounds.
