ok listen to this...i was with this black guy and i was walking him home...and his gf was there and he wanted to introduce her to me...so we said hi...once he was in the bathroom, she came up to me and was like why dont you stick to your kind? i was like excuse me? she was like why dont you leave the black guys to black women and **** out....i started laughing cause her bf is my cousin! i'm half black but look white!!! when i told her that she got so emberessed and never could look at me and also because of htat my cousin is rethink his relationship...my questrion is this why did she say that to me? what's wrong is a white girl or any other race to date a black guy??? i'm half black and i dont even see the problem! thank you

black women sometimes get threatened by white women because it seems lots of black men date them. many black men are involved in gangs and poverty, it can be hard to find an educated, decent black man. rent the movie "Save the Last Dance" it explains it all :)

I'm not black but I'm answering your question because I once dated a black Puerto Rican guy, and I noticed similar things. When we were in places that were predominantly black...like this one Improv. music club we'd go to....women would stare me down! I asked the guy I was dating what was up with that. He said that there are a shortage of good and decent, responsible, respectful black men out there. That's why when black women see a non-black woman with one of those hard to find "catches" they get resentful. They feel that we're taking what little they have. Does that make sense?
But, the guy I was with would always say he didn't give a damn. He would date whoever he wanted to, and would not let black women dictate his life. Which is so true! So, you go ahead and be friends with whoever you want to.

I come from a mixed family too, and I look white.
That was really weird; if you take out the race element, would she have said anything at all?
Believe it or not, some people 'choose' the race of people they will and won't date. Sounds like she chooses only to date black men, and she's projecting her choice onto you, thinking you're white so you should choose to date only white men.
People who make choices like that are really limiting themselves. Shouldn't ilove be about chemistry and personality and compatability? What's colour, but the decoration?
Love is blind, really. Thank goodness. We can't change other people, but we can set good examples.

How NOT to solve racism is to rent a movie. White people believe everything they see in the media, there answer to all life's problem is the "TV", which is why when the movie Jack@ss II comes out all the White kids will be copying. Nevermind the parents, White kids don't have those. Let's hope a movie never comes out about Columbine.
