...by no means should it be forgotten. However, there are other events in our history--such as Pearl Harbor--that we don't "commemorate" in the same manner as 9/11. There are parades, maybe, a little commentary on TV or in newspapers. But we hear about 9/11 every single day and so much effort is devoted to remembering, commemorating, the events of that day. A lot more people may have died on 9/11 but even 1 death is too much and we should not determine that what one event is more important that the other based on the number of people killed.

At what point will we ever stop putting so much focus on 9/11? It's harder to go forward when you're stuck in the past so much. Also, by focusing on 9/11 so much, aren't we just showing the terrorists just how much they affected and hurt us? Aren't we showing that we're psychologically weak and traumatized and scared which is what the terrorists wanted in the first place?

I think it's the stupidest of stupid trends. However, it can't be outlawed. How would it be enforced? This is a huge pet peeve of mine. The other day I saw a gentleman walking down the street with his pants hanging down and he was holding them up as he walked. He was wearing a belt mind you. If he were to give someone a hug his pants would fall off! You can only be so tolerant. That is just silly.

Ok, I was born in London, UK, but my parents are from the Philippines. I have a Spanish surname, starts with "de". My grandpa told me that his grandpa was a Spanish counsellor and that he had four wives, woah! He even wrote out a family tree of all my ancestors he could remember.

Does this make me part Spanish?

Generally most americans I've met have always been nice and very friendly, but when I was in California I thought they were the nicest (and wonderfully liberal too). I took the amtrack across the US from California to the east-coast. The best people on the train were the californians. The people that got on at salt-lake were weirdos, and the guys who got on the train between chicago and schenectady looked like they'd just got of jail (Buffalo was the worst), the New Yorkers were really impatient, but californians were great, so friendly and chilled the whole journey.
