My mom is going to New Orleans to help clean up the mess Katrina made-she wants me to go with her but I really dont want to. but if it's to help others, i sorta dont mind. the thing is, I'm spoiled, I'm used to sleeping in a bed and wearing nice clothes everyday and just kickin' it. but if i go to new orleans, then i will be sleeping on a church floor and i shouldnt even bother bringing cute clothes since all i'll be doing is cleaning and building stuff (i'm not used to things like that.
i think i should go, but what do you all have to say about this?

If racism is a problem in America, why do black people exacerbate the problem by naming their children in such a way that tells everyone their race? Doesn't naming your child Shakira, Shaneeka, or Aquanetta put them at a disadvantage when it comes to applying for a job in racist America?

Are you willing to endanger your child's future for the sake of in-your-face pride?

Recently I asked you for your favorite childhood candy, candy bars and snack foods.
Then I asked you for the name of your childhood neighborhood theater.
So what was your favorite soda pop? Try to fool me with some I've never heard of before. Let's keep this nostalgia train a rollin' down the tracks.
My favorite soda pop was Lotta Cola. It was a cola like Pepsi and Coca Cola, but it came in 16 oz. bottles, so I got 4 oz. more for the same price. That was really great after a hot, sweaty game of baseball.

There's a black dog, on a black road, either side of the road there are black bushes, past the bushes, the fields are black, also peppered here and there are large black oak tree's, back to the road, a black car comes down the road at speed and at the last moument swerves and misses the dog....How did the driver see the dog?

They say things Like "Get over it" or "forget about it" to justify not remembering history. Which was no different than Wille Lynch in 1712.

Blacks only have one known history and they want you to forget that, why????

Seriously, what if women were just as stong as men, physically? Would it make any difference? Do you think God's original intention was to make man stronger to rape or beat women up? Look at how women evolved over time, do you think it was initally a problem with strength? It used to be that women never worked and did household chores and raised kids while the men worked. Didn't women know they had brains back then? Or, was it that cavemen scared the women by dragging them around by their hair and things just naturally developed from there?

I think I may have to pull my question about the Down low, some people lost the whole point completely. I forgive you:) I am not stereotypical because I have black men in my family and I think I am tired of the portrayals of blacks in epidemics on television. I keep hearing black men on the down low say: "I can't be myself with the woman I love, she will leave me!" How do guys (gay or straight) feel about this epidemic. Should these guys be open from the jump with these ladies? Or should the ladies be just a bit more sympathetic? And also, feel free to discuss the aids epidemic too, especially the connection it "may" have with promiscous behaviors.
