Being "black"or "white" has to do with a lot more than just what you seem to think. Oh the hell with it! These so called discussions are exercises in futility. None of you people that ask these types of questions are really interested in answers anyway. It is just a means and excuse for you all to belittle each other. Personally, I'm through with it. You can all just wallow in your hatred without my participation from now on.

I'm a typical American meaning that I am English, Scottish, Swedish, Native American, German. That's my ethnicity. Race is an artificial concept. You can't measure the amount of melatonin in a person's skin. There is only one race.

I'm 100% white because that's what other people percieve. Race is an artificial device invented by humans. It cannot be verified by DNA, therefore, it is subjective.

Most Afican-Americans are a mixture. I know I am....mostly due to the slavery times. However, many Africans and Jamaicans are all black.

Literal or cultural?
And would that "100%" you mention be correct to one significant figure, two significant figures or three significant figures?
Maybe if I have answers to these question, I can finish my answer.

No, your right, people are either brown, olive or pink (or red when too much sun)...
I'm light pink most of the time - Norwegian/English/Scottish/Russian mix
