Its a trend. rap music has become the new pop music. and the imagery that people see associated with rap and hip hop videos has become something to emulate because thats how the popular people act, look and talk. Most young people are slaves to what they see on mtv. Its just like all of the other fads like the punk fad, the goth fad, the hipster fad...etc.

Look, there is no such thing as "acting Black" or "acting white." Everyone is simply a product of their environment. Some people make the television their environment as they attempt to imitate what they watch. Do you get it you bigot?

Because Black is the new fad, and what used to be 'in your face' and 'street' is now the latest marketing schtick to suck the kids with money to buy soda pop, ipods, car parts, and sports crap. The more they buy, the more the advertisers flood the market with the genre. The more the market floods with it, the more kids are sucked in.
