A recent study shows that taller people are smarter, is that true? What is your opinion?

Read "Blink" -- it is not true that "Tall" people are smarter. The article is misleading...in that we percieve tall people as what a leader should look like. Hence, we allow tall people irregardless of thier skills or intelligence to lead based soley on a characteristic and not on fact. We do that everyday -- we assume something is because of our subconscious mind acts a as a giant file cabinet and organizes things nice and neat for us. Blondes are this and Red Heads are that. What is really sad is that people actually believe this crap and base whole company structures on that fact. The corporate world is one giant crap finder who likes things to look a certain way. Yes, the facts that tall people make more per inch than someone short is true, but it is not based on intellegence. I chose long names for my kids, because people actually believe that long names make you more intelligent too. (Not saying my kids are dumb, but the rest of the world can be really dumb - so, I use the "Dumb Factor" of the world for my kids advantage.)

If being tall is genetically acquired and has been prove by the scientist,that would be true!But I think it is not the height that counts but it is man's IQ on how he applies it by himself!There are intilligent people but they do not use their brain in smarter way but they used it in philosophical way of thinking! And there are lot of average people and they think and do more in a smarter way!

Nope I don't agree. I would be interested in reading more on the study, how many people they actually followed, what their background was, from homes with educated parents, financial situation, location, as all these can also effect a persons level of education.

well... in a way this could be true..
A 1 year old VS a 5 year old.. the 5 year old is taller and surley smarter...
A 10 yr old VS a 20 yr old.. the 20 yr old is taller.. and most likely smarter.

very interesting... my dad is 6'6 and he is really really smart but i am tall and i am not smart i am average does that mean some thins wrong with me?? =( lol !!!
