♫" A country western song by Sanitizer"♫
(to the tune: 'give me a home where the buffalo roam')
♫ Oh, give me a bore who is fat and lazy
and shows no signs of energy
where seldom is heard an encouraging word
from his lips so plump and crazy....
Ohhhhhhhhhh, high on the hog
where the meat it sucks like a dog
where seldom is heard an encouraging word
and the bore he wimps out all day. ♫
p.s.-I can't carry a tune....not sure if it fits.-

I don't know about that but I do know that the low man on the totem pole has a root bound mentality, people that live in high cotton get sunburned, if you live the life of Riley you're a schizophrenic, if you sow wild oats you have a lot of work to do for a lousy crop, if you're a chip off the block you're probably going to get mulched, and people that live for the moment have the life span of a tse tse fly.

Does someone who lives high on the hog enjoy being swined and dined?

I was once high ABOVE a boar.
Visited Germany and hiked through the woods when a wild boar started to chase us.
We all hauled *** and as luck would have it there was a hunting platform..up the ladder we went and the damn swine circled us for 5 hours. It was huge, with evil tusks.
Does that count?

It can be quite boring behaviour because it's usually quite predictable - you have money, you do things that rich people are supposed to do. But there are a few exceptional people who have money and who know what to do with it - they might be unseen because they are busy doing original, creative, useful, helpful things.

I suppose a boor could be described as a pig at times.

Well, you see, it's really BOORISH behavior, so your little pun doesn't quite work.
