The power of hope, and positive thinking...
In laboratory experiments, rats were subject to staying in water to see how long they would survive before they tired and drown. On average, it took 17 minutes.
Rat's that were subjected to the water, and then removed just before they went under, were dried off, and placed back in their cages.
Something amazing happened. When those same rats who were rescued, were put back in the water,
the duration of how long it took before they drown was...2,220 minutes, or approximately 37 HOURS.
Do you think they had hope, that someone would rescue them again? Or had they given up, like the earlier group...
It really makes you wonder how we influence each other, our children, our family, friends when we instill positive feedback into each other.
