I volunteered to show some retired folk (generally aged over 70) how to use a PC to surf the Web. They like amazon, yahoo, flight booking sites, senior & healthcare, but what about fun sites?
Know of any good crossword, puzzles or hobby/craft sites that are really straightforward for first-time users of the internet? Free & don't need registration to view?

One guy contributed a site about steam-train excursions here in Ireland; which was great for some of the guys. But he signed up because he was already a member of that society. I need to find them interesting approachable websites - hey, if they want porn, they can find that easily, but mostly they want a friendly-to-total-newbies site that won't take their money.

I really don't believe that white is the ultimate race. Because nobody is just one race. I think that when civilzation started there was one race and then as more people started being born races were created. Therefore, we're multi racial right? Why be racist?

A society that has been so brutally treated over the millenia, with warriors like Joshua and David, and the fighters in Warsaw, now is represented by anti-weapon zealots who do not understand that to prevent genocide, citizens must ba able to resist GOVERNMENTS!

Please don't get mad I'm just asking: Do you think black guys who dress "ghetto" care about being respected? I heard this black guy going on about how "ghetto MFs" make him have to work harder. He was saying that if they wanted to be treated with respect then blacks as a whole needed to speak eloquently and not "ebonically." (There was alot more that he said but I'll just leave it at that) I don't know if wat he was saying was just messed up or...

a girl did something that made me very very angry. she worked with my boyfriend and tried to get with him, using every trick in the book. he resisted for 3 months but 1 night got hopelessly drunk and let her kiss him. i know him so am not asking for your judgement on him, i have sorted that myself. the problem is that months on, i have a red hot burning rage evrey time i think of her. i think i am a good person, but i feel real hate whenever i think of her. it's eating me up. i lie awake at night having imaginary confrontations with her, and don't like myself for doing it! my relationship with my boyfrind is great and has been ever since this 'blip' months ago but no-one realises the rage and loathing i have inside me. i'm completely obsessed. i hate hate hate her. i want to get rid of it. how?

I often get a lot of anger from Black Women for dating White and other cultures of women and I’m told it’s because I’m a tall nice looking guy with a good job. Actually, most people don’t know what exactly my nationality is because I look mixed. I’m considered tall and have a dark Latin/Indian hair texture and complexion, but I identify myself as an African American.

Sometimes I go out with an African American female friend of mine who some people may not see as the most attractive girl. She’s a bit over weight, very dark in complexion, and she may not be the prettiest, but I think she has a very sweet and friendly personality. Some of my buddies would tease and joke with me, saying that she was my girlfriend, because they’re used to seeing me going out with tall pretty blonde girls, but it didn’t stop me from hanging out with her because my respect for her is greater than their insecurity. When we sometimes hang out, we often get reactions. White Women would often have a friendly supportive smile or sometimes a blank or confusing look, as did many guys. But the reaction from Black Women is the most interesting. Some would giggle and chuckle while others would most often make the most critical frowns and faces, as if their expressions were saying, “What the f*ck are you doing with her?” Two girls in particular actually burst out in laughter right in front of us. But what I think is the funniest is, if I was with one of my tall pretty blonde girlfriends, I bet they wouldn’t have been laughing.

In any society, Doesn't it come to a deeper level that you can not blame the beauty industry or the consumerist society? I think you can only blame that to a certain point, the fact is, that studies suggest good looks are ingrained much deeper into our very human psyche than most know.
(for instance, studies have shown that babies respond more positively to attractive faces and look away from those most of us consider to be unattractive.)
