Why are some Black Women so racist and stuck on color?

I often get a lot of anger from Black Women for dating White and other cultures of women and I’m told it’s because I’m a tall nice looking guy with a good job. Actually, most people don’t know what exactly my nationality is because I look mixed. I’m considered tall and have a dark Latin/Indian hair texture and complexion, but I identify myself as an African American.

Sometimes I go out with an African American female friend of mine who some people may not see as the most attractive girl. She’s a bit over weight, very dark in complexion, and she may not be the prettiest, but I think she has a very sweet and friendly personality. Some of my buddies would tease and joke with me, saying that she was my girlfriend, because they’re used to seeing me going out with tall pretty blonde girls, but it didn’t stop me from hanging out with her because my respect for her is greater than their insecurity. When we sometimes hang out, we often get reactions. White Women would often have a friendly supportive smile or sometimes a blank or confusing look, as did many guys. But the reaction from Black Women is the most interesting. Some would giggle and chuckle while others would most often make the most critical frowns and faces, as if their expressions were saying, “What the f*ck are you doing with her?” Two girls in particular actually burst out in laughter right in front of us. But what I think is the funniest is, if I was with one of my tall pretty blonde girlfriends, I bet they wouldn’t have been laughing.

it's not really the color.its just that when people see a fine man with a not so cute over weight girl it makes people wonder if you are showing pitty for her or your trying to get some at the end of the night.Your right if you were with someone pretty it would not happen.I applaud you,don't let stupid people stop you from taking your friend out.I fit the discription of your friend and all of my male friends are fine so I know what you are talking about.All of my friends say I have a beautiful personality and I am fun to be around.

I don't get how that is considering them to be racist and stuck on color. What I see is that they saw this friend of yours and were critical of her because she isn't thin and she has dark complexion.

Maybe that is what you were saying that people don't perceive her as pretty because of her dark skin which is wrong because there are many beautiful dark women just like lighter women.

I doubt that it is just black women though. I'm black and unless she is completely strange looking, it wouldn't be strange to me to see the two of you together.

OK. Checked your profile and all you ask are questions concerning interracial dating and negative black women. Since you obviously prefer white women why do you care at all about what black women think of you? You seem very concerned with what other ppl think of you. I suggest you get a hobby or some counseling.

Have you ever thought that maybe they are laughing at you and not her? It's the way you present yourself, I mean just look how you presented the question to us. You managed to tick off the first 2 women to answer. Please don't try and give me that only Black woman story. You will find that woman of all color's might question your relationship, some to your face some to your back. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not happening.
