I'm white and don't think I am racist. I don't see much racism where I live (Canada).

You know what? White, Black, Red or Yellow. We are all the same, There is good and bad in all of us. I see racism in all cultures. Hopefully, one day, we can all get along as one people, and NOT judge people by the color of their skin.

Unfortunately it has turned into a vicious cycle. A lot of the blacks won't let it go and use the race card as much as possible. In turn, the whites find this behavior obnoxious and perpetuate the black stereotypes.

The US seems to be the worst country for this. The politicians make the problem worse by fanning the flames to push their own agendas. People need to just forgive and forget and start over---both blacks and whites!

i think that you can answer that question on your own if you would just do a little observation. how many mixed neighborhoods are there where you live? what is the ratio of white to black students in your district? how many black leaders are there? a racist society is not going to come out and overtly say that they are racist anymore, not since the civil rights movement. The white hoods of the KKK has been traded in for the business and the leisure suit.

Racism is as viable today as it was 50 years ago.

Racism is a demonic force and I detest racist people.

Racism has many faces today, Socio-economic racism is one of the worst, yet it still affects more blacks and minorities than whites, therefore, racism is still "color-coded".

It is a moral and political issue.

I live in Atlanta, Georgia.

Most of the racism I see around here (and, there's plenty) is perpetrated by blacks.

If you find this hard to believe, think back a few weeks on Cynthia McKinney, and her outrageous behavior in Washington.

White people around here tip-toe around blacks for fear of being called racists, often to their own detriment. Meanwhile, if a black person experiences the least inconvenience, he immediately blames it on his race. It's absurd.

No it's not going away....it's just more subtle. The sheets & hoods are worn "under" the clothes now. If you want to see racism in all it's glory come on down to the good old USA.

It won't unless black people themselves stop bringing up that issues first. They always say someone is being RACIST against them if nothing is working in their favour and I think that's the only word they use quite often as an excuse to gain some favourism from the people around. It's my personal experience with them.
