I was always taught be my parents that if you pass someone when you have an umbrella, you should lift it over their heads, to avoid poking their eyes out. People don't do that anymore. Can we have them banned?

60's fan, even though I am only 25. Don't you think that a lot of music from that time period would fit our society today? For example:
'Turn,Turn, Turn'-by The Byrds
and 'Something in the air'-by Thunderclap Newman,
and of course who can forget 'Signs'-by Five Man Electrical Band?
If you have a good song, then add it to the list. Thanks.

"It's also important to note that life is exceedingly rare in the universe — even if it exists on every planet and moon. All we do know is that life exists on one oasis — Earth. Most of the universe is nearly empty, and almost all of the matter is in stars or nebulae. Any sort of life that we can imagine only has a chance on planets or moons. The universe was not designed for life; in practically the entire universe conditions are extremely hostile to life. Saying that the universe is made just for us is like a frog looking at his pond and thinking that the whole world was made just for him."

Again - Are we living on an oasis in a desolate universe?

What does this question mean for our way of life on this special planet?

geez, between her, my step-sister, and my mirror image--I'm starting to feel like a lez lol (but other than them i'm really not!)

I have always written with a cigarette in one hand. Since quitting, I've found that everything in my life has improved, except that I seem to be unable to put pen to paper. Every time I even think about writing, the craving for nicotine is almost overwhelming. Any suggestions, advice or inspiration gratefully received (please no lectures about the evils of smoking, thank you)
