About the only way I can think of is that you can either ask them to contact you on one of their questions or put what you want to tell them in an answer to one of their questions.

Ive removed my email from contact option so as not recieve spam and letters from weirdos on here for good reason. If you left a message for that person on yahoo answers like "YO Joe!" it would probably be removed because its not really a question and considered in violation.

Go to the person's profile and use the "Contact ...." Option.
I tried, it works.
