I lived in Kilburn during the 1980s. It was fun in a funky-punky way and the flat below us was raided by an army of armed police. It's a rough area but I survived with most of my body still intact.

they are both on the main road and follow each other, they are hardly any shops in cricklewood, much more i Kilburn ( argos/somerfield. tesco/ sainsburys/ primark/pounsdtrecher/currys barrats and more. irish community. i find cricklewood quite dull really. but the 2 are so near to each other that it really doesnt matter.

Well, you can get an idea of what it looks like by watching the first Hellraiser movie, it was filmed on location there. It looks nice as long as you don't open up any puzzle boxes.
There were also a few novels based on the town: the goodies and the minder.
That should help answer your question to some degree, hopefully someone from there can tell you more.

Horrible.
Lived in Willsden Green for 6 months which is next door and pretty much the same. Drugs, violence, knives, guns. You name it.
