Here's a tip that was taught to me and I passed on to my kids.

Firstly if you don't aready do it see if you can have you wages paid into a bank account.

Secondly always always pay your bills, buy only what you need.

Thirdly what is left divide by 3, this may not be alot but it will still work.

One third goes into a savings account, set up by transfering the money from one account to another by the bank.

One third for everyday necessity's.

One third to blow.

Stick to these 3 rules

If you have any change left at the end of the week/month put it into a piggy bank that you can not open.

You will be surprised at how quick your savings will grow.

I live in the Uk and I have a tin for 2 pound coins (this I can dip into if needed) one for one pound coins, one for 50 pences, one for silver and one for copper. I have just put 1000 pound into my savings account all saved since Christmas.

I have never had to buy anything on buy now pay later and all three of my kids have healthy bank accounts and do not have any debt.

I have aready had 2 holidays this year and I am going on to Germany in December to the Christmas Markets.

Hope this helps. There will be times when you get an unexpected bill or a crisis that may need you to dip into your savings but don't let this get you down as soon as you can go back to your 3 rules and you will be fine
