I was walking out of a gas station yesterday and saw a cute girl walking towards me. I held the door open for her and she slapped me! I asked why she did that and she said I was being inconsiderate to women. WTH?

Is this what civil rights has come to? I'm actually afraid to compliment girls on their looks now.

Ladies, this is why chivalry is dead.

Everyone is guilty to some extent or another including myself. the worst examples I've seen recently are a christian saying non-belivers are blind and someone saying christians are violent. Both are offensive and are just examples of stereotyping. There are some more ofensive than others but why is it that people feel they need to share thier stereotypes with everyone else. I can see useing stereotypes to try to understand people you don't know but why share them with everyone. I think some people just like to see if they can get a rise out of groups of people they don't like but then take ofense when things are no longer in thier control.

Pick one to answer.....
What would it take to....

convert a "born again" christian to Agnostic or Athiest?

turn a neo-con Bush supporter into a Democrat?

get Tom DeLay to understand ethics?

I know that the third option is probably the hardest to do, or even to put into words, but let's see what's out there.

I have been trying to meet new people to chat to online. I like the idea of finding out about how people from other country's live thier day-to-day lives. How ever I have lost track of the amount of people who ask 'R u 16?' why is it so important to know if I'm over the legal age for consentual sex? And when I look at these people's web pages - oh my god! Large ladies with thier breasts out, old men naked - it just isn't right!! Why is it so scary out there in cyberspace??

I've just come back from collecting my girls and maybe its my nerves but have you noticed how noisy it is out there? Police sirens, car horns, lorries, car alarms, dopey young blokes with pounding music coming out of their car windows, thump thump, pedestrian crossings beeping away, the chemist's as you go in and come out, everything seeks to have an accompanying beep.

I gotta say, as much as I love my girlfriend, I consider my best (male) friends closer. I mean, a girlfriend is great, but guys need to spend time with other guys, and there are just some things you can tell other guys but not your girlfriend (or your wife). Agree?
