I would like to point out to all you incredible assholes that insist on insulting me just because of the tone of my question (get over it, morons) that "radagast", a homosexual that is in this situation, was able to give me an intelligent answer and sidestep his insecurities -- unlike most of you short-sighted individuals.

Certainly most gay people are less b!tchy than this question.

Any 'christian' who does not work for equal rights for all is a bigoted hypocrite. Why don't you try justice, love, tolerance and understanding for a change? WWJD?

I would like to thank you for your tolerance and understanding of diversity -- made so clearly evident in your question.

As far as a gay couple with children are concerned -- they split parental responsibilities, if one is significantly more nurturing than the other -- then that one is likely to "inherit" the roles traditionally assigned to the mother. If both are nurturing the split is more roughly even -- in a way very similar to some successful heterosexual couples.

However, marriage is no more a prerequisite for gay couples to have children than it is for straight couples. As the New York State Supreme court ruled -- marriage is restricted in our fair state to heterosexuals because heterosexuals are less responsible than homosexuals, can have babies without planning for them and so need the additional protection provided by marriage -- while homosexuals do not need such protection.

We raised two boys from their early teens when I was younger, and my partner of nearly 15 years and I may use a surrogate mother to have a baby soon -- I must admit, the court understands us (meaning gays) very well. It will certainly be planned, and we will be certain that all the resources exist that we need to raise him/her properly and well.

It is noteworthy that in NYC well over 10% of children are being raised in same-sex homes; and the vast majority of them seem to be doing very well without strongly defined parenting roles in the home. And of course, in Mass, where gay marriage has existed for over 2 years now (without the state falling into the sea or anything, just like Canada and much of Europe, isn't it amazing?) children are fairly common among gay and lesbian couples.

Thank you again for your tolerance and your interest in these issues.

Kind regards,

Easy 2 points! Sounds like your momma (gag) and her boyfriends fathers uncle (triple gag) done raised you right, out of the trailer park. Do you have your own teeth? Or do you screw the goats in your bedroom? Shows your ignorance and stupidity. You must be a sadist to want these responses.

A book came out about 30 years ago called My Two Dads. It's a child's book. Just right for your intelligence level.

It's amazing that you can't appreciate two people willing to share a home and a family life with a child who doesn't have one.

They would be either two moms or two dads...I know quite a few couples like this, and I would never be so mean. You may not agree with their lifestyle, but why be cruel?
