I know that the third option is probably the hardest to do, or even to put into words, but let's see what's out there.

convert a born again christian.... Show them in the bible where God says to seek Knowledge, and ask what have you really done to seek knowledge outside of talking to the people of your church?
Turn a neo-con to a dem... Ask W.W.J.B.? (What Would Jesus Be?) Capitalist??? hhhhmmmm, Maybe not!
As for Tom... that is a tough... maybe send him to a Buddhist monk community and let him meditate about it for a lifetime or 2??

You would have to brain Wash them. a person can change an Idea, but a believe that's almost imposable to do
