Men are very easily stimulated by what they can see. Since making porn is such an easy way to achieve this kind of "stimulation" (not to mention a very profitable business) it is only natural there is so much of it. Granted some women like it to, but the mass amounts of men who enjoy this cause the "demand" for the "supply".

To disassociate yourself from reality. Porn has no emotional value. It's just a way for escaping. Maybe at times it's o.k.,but to let it replace a relationship or become the focus of your sexual life is not healthy. It can actually ruin your whole sense of self if you let it.

The demand has always been there. It is the development of an endless supply system that is private, relatively low risk, and low cost.
