I was walking out of a gas station yesterday and saw a cute girl walking towards me. I held the door open for her and she slapped me! I asked why she did that and she said I was being inconsiderate to women. WTH?

Is this what civil rights has come to? I'm actually afraid to compliment girls on their looks now.

Ladies, this is why chivalry is dead.

She must have been a B*tch. Most guys nowadays don't do little things like that.
Sorry for that experience of running into a woman like that.

This really happened? I find that difficult to believe; I've never seen this occur and don't know any woman who would do this. Did you say anything about how cute you thought she was, maybe?
I'm married, have kids and consider myself a feminist, and I have no problem with a man holding a door open for me. The difference is, I'll hold a door open for a man if I'm going through the door first. To me it's more about one person doing a kindness for another than any gender being involved. Like, I'll give my seat to a pregnant woman, but if a pregnant man ever shows up, he can gladly have my seat. :-)

Bravo! You mother would be proud of you! You were a total gentleman to a nut case. Don't get discouraged, Love. You prove chivalry is not dead.

Please don't apply this to all ladies. Some of us still like to be treated like ladies. Then there's the crazy biatches that ruin it for everybody. It was very nice of you to hold the door, but would you have done it if she had been an old lady or a not so cutie?

Technically, because you held the door because she was pretty, she was right, and if you were obvious about that, you deserved it.

If it wasn't obvious, she is the one with the problem, sometimes there is no doing right, and you should shrug it off.
