Were the immortals and their customs in Highlander acknowledged as being based on anything in mythology? Are there probable or plausible mythical bases for the characters and their customs?

I've read stories where they mention a hand or finger sign that wards off the evil eye. What is that?

There's one on Q&A'S, but I really think he is the Scarlet Pimpernel in disguise don't you know.

But getting back to the question do you have a Romany spirit lurking behind that facade of the respectable family man/woman with 2.1 children and would love to roam like free spirit..And where would you like to roam?.

Not too sure what category, but as this is a bit of whimsical question I've put it into Mythology & Folklore.

I reckon it can't because the optic nerve won't let the eye extend beyond its socket. Also, the eye muscles would need to be cut - meaning that the eye could never work again after removal. (That US basketballer simply lost his eyelid, temporarily, behind his eyeball). My friends disagree.

Anyone have ghostly personal or real stories you know? I get scared easily when it comes to ghost stories.

Alright I ain't gone say they do or don't exist. Because it's a lot of stuff out thare that mere Humans don't know about. But I got a set of reasons why the do exist and why they don't. First the reasons why they do exist: 1. Dracula's skeleton was dug up. But thare were animal bones thare. 2. Thare was a show called beyond belief fact or fiction. A show whare you had to guess which story was true of false. Well this story was true. (I can't remember the whole thing). At around the 60's a man was in a hospital. I forget why. But a nurse found him and a few other people drinking blood. And then the guy was trying to escape and the nurse tryed to chase him down. The man jumped out of a closed window. And when the nurse looked out the window he was gone. Now the reasons why they don't: 1. When they dug up Dracula's skeleton it was centuries later. So I would guess dracula's body sunk into the earth. (I forgot the 2cond reason. But it wasen't too big of a reason. I think).
