Valentine's Day

Okay, so we all know that V-Day is coming up and I've been with my b/f for over two years. Im not really expecting a lot, I just really love the cliched valentine's gifts. I know my b/f is not rich and I am not expecting diamond jewelry or anything, but sometimes his gifts are a little cheap. Last year he got me a dozen roses from a fundraiser at his school. And I was fine with that, in fact I was thrilled because it was more than the usual one rose. Then when i got them they were kind of wilted and smooshed, I guess it was because the people who put them together weren't professional's. They died the next day. I was okay with that and I didn't say anything because I didnt want to hurt his feelings, this year he's getting me the same thing again from his school. I was really hoping to get daisies or some other type of flower from a aflower shop. I dont need the expensive $50 dollar rose bouquet, I just want something a little special. I found out that he bought me a $5 box of candy

I don't get it why does so many people like Valentine? To make other people feel loved or to feel loved. I don't get it, if you want to make someone feel loved do it in a plane old day. Not on a day when a lot of other people do it.

It might just be me. But is Valentine's Day just an day that the retail establisment can get us singles depressed. I mean I don't have a gf yet. Every year because of the big push for v day stuff. I get pissed. Gee thanks world.

Ok so I am the travel Coordinator for my company and the manager want to stop by my office tomorrow to give me a valentine gift??? What should I think about it I got a Christmas gift for all the hotels we do business with but not a valentine’s gift? Am I over thinking things here?

My boy.f has had a cold for over 2 weeks, it went then came back, hes tired and feels crap, and hes over tomorrow for valentines and we're not going out or anything so any suggestions of what i could do to help him feel a bit better. So, since our anniversary is in a couple weeks, I am planning Vday and my husband is planning our anniversary. The problem is that it is POURING!!! and it's supposed to rain 2moro too. I planned on taking him out on the boat and having a picnic but that's pretty much ruined. So now its the day before valentines day and I have no idea what to do!!!! I'm really upset about valentines day , me and my boyfriend, both have school at night at college and cant spend time together, I asked him what about in the day time, but he has work, do you think it's ok to maybe spend V-day on a weekend and do you think I should give him his gift to him on V-day anyway, cause the stuff I put in his gift basket wont last long, need advice , thanks, and what can I do to get my mind off of not spending V-day with him?
