So, since our anniversary is in a couple weeks, I am planning Vday and my husband is planning our anniversary. The problem is that it is POURING!!! and it's supposed to rain 2moro too. I planned on taking him out on the boat and having a picnic but that's pretty much ruined. So now its the day before valentines day and I have no idea what to do!!!! I'm pretty sure its way too late to make reservations anywhere and we stayed in last year. What do i do???

Well, why not have the picnic inside, I know it's corny , but cute , and play romance music, with candles, and build a fire.

You've got to learn to be flexible sweetie. The best laid plans of mice and men oft times go astray. Always have a Plan B. You can still have a picnic, but you may have to move it indoors.....like on the floor in front of the fireplace or something. Most restaurants don't even require reservations these days, but you could call around to some of your favorites and find out. Valentine's Day isn't as "big" as New Years, so you shouldn't have much trouble finding one. Barring that, maybe you could cook him his favorite meal and have a nice romantic candlelight dinner at home.

Try going to the movies and a dinner or camp out in your home and set up an area and have your picnic. To make up for that boat trip go get you some lingerie and chocolate covered strawberries and go from there!!!

I would go all out and make the best indoor picnic he has ever seen, change the decor with some fake trees etc. and put a blanket then have some great wine & many of his favorite things to eat. ** don't forget the whipped cream

Ahh...I wish it were only rain here, but alas, we are being sent home from work (I worked at a university hospital) at 3 p.m. (just nonessential employees are being sent home) not to return until at least 11:30 tomorrow morning and the college which I attend in the evening has cancelled all classes after 2 p.m. today (and they NEVER cancel).

Freakin' blizzard warnings.
