Anybody expecting zip in the post tomorrow morn? Do you have any annoying friends who will receive loads and probably some flowers and chocolates to boot? Is the whole day just a rip (unless you get a card that is)?

Valentines day is 100% pure comercialisation. At least with Christmas you can say Jesus was supposedly born on this day but there is no significance for Valentines day. It is just another ordinary day - which people find appealing. Why not make your partner (like i do) feel important and loved 365 days a year without being told what to do and what to buy by corporations.
I guess this is sheepish mentality which our side of the world has fallen into - lets just follow the one in front lol

I won't get a card tomorrow, but I have a friend who has had one for the past 5 years, even when she moved, with the same handwriting. Last year he sent her a thong in the post! She will also probably get roses from about six people, including one or two secret ones and about three from close friends.

I don't expect a card tomorrow as my boyfriend is currently in a hospital over 80 miles away with spinal injuries and can't even flex his fingers at the moment let alone buy me a card. As excuses go I think that one takes the biscuit.

He is expected to make a full recovery though and thats all I wish for!

I wont get a card from anyone *sobs* but my bestfriend always buys me chocolate (she's great!) and we're planning on spending the evening at the cinema watching Hot Fuzz so that will be ace! Simon Pegg rocks!

Don't think Bin Laden will be getting one, or the ugly munter from the goonies - what was his name????

May get one, me and g/f don't really think it's much cop, just a marketing ploy, but I have sent her one :o)

There is always that one girl in the office who's boyfriend goes mental and sends in far to much chocolate for one lady to eat hidden in a bouquet that can't get thro the door (complete with cute cuddly animal). Tosser!!!! Surely your love and a card should do???

I wont (at least not from anyone else). My husband had emergency eye surgery Monday, and he never buys a card or chocolate until the last day. Can't do it this year since he's home bound.

tomorrow, I'll pick some up for half price - that makes me smile
It's about remembering the people who are important to you, or make you smile. Not just a sweetheart. I was going to send yo and e-card, but alas no anonamus e-mail is available so I'll just make you a valentine here.

Not for me, no romance this year. My friends who get loads, I will be happy for.
I just talked to my married mate and encouraged him to get his wife something, or do a little something special.
It is a rip if we go along with the crowds, but spending a little is nice, if one has romantic involvement.

I'm not expecting anything, but it is just another day to me and I will look at it as that. No expectations, no disappointment, but if you really want something, send me your email and I'll send you an e card
